Fortnitemares 2024 brought Billy the Puppet from Saw and Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Fortnite, alongside other crossover outfits and Halloween gameplay. Epic announced the event on October 12, 2024, and said it would run through the end of Chapter 5 Season 4. Those dates and Shop details are historical; Epic’s announcement does not establish that the event or its outfits are available now.
Which horror characters came to Fortnite for Fortnitemares 2024?
Epic’s announced outfit lineup included several horror figures, as well as characters from other franchises. The event’s horror angle is notable, but not every outfit in the lineup was a horror villain.
- Billy the Puppet from Saw.
- Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
- She-Venom and Agony.
- Edward Scissorhands.
- Maleficent and Captain Hook.
- Cruella de Vil.
- Sally and the Pumpkin King.
- Mephisto.
Epic also said Ravemello would arrive in the Shop near the event’s end. The official announcement identifies Saw with Lions Gate Entertainment Inc. and Leatherface and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Vortex, Inc.; those notices credit rights holders and do not indicate present-day licensing or availability. Epic’s Fortnitemares 2024 announcement is the source for the announced lineup.
Was Leatherface in Fortnite?
Yes. Epic named Leatherface among the Fortnitemares 2024 outfits. The announcement is evidence that the outfit was part of the 2024 event, not that it can be purchased in the current Item Shop.

Did Fortnite add Billy from Saw?
Yes. Epic announced Billy the Puppet as an outfit, and also introduced a separate gameplay item called Boom Billy. The item was described as a throwable mini-Billy the Puppet that locks onto the nearest opponent, rides toward them on a tricycle, and explodes on impact.
Another Saw-inspired feature was Jigsaw’s Challenge. Players who accepted the challenge at separate monitors were matched for a duel. Epic said both players’ bear masks could explode if the target was not eliminated in time.
