The first reported look at Fortnite’s Simpsons crossover came from key art circulating online in October 2025. Contemporary coverage described Jonesy and Hope facing Kang and Kodos in the visual style of The Simpsons. Epic launched the crossover as a Springfield-themed Fortnite season on November 1, 2025, so it is no longer upcoming.
What the leaked Fortnite–Simpsons key art showed
Coverage published October 28, 2025 described the artwork as showing Fortnite characters Jonesy and Hope facing the alien duo Kang and Kodos, with the scene rendered in the show’s style. That report said Epic had confirmed the crossover. A community post dated October 23 also discussed a full key-art leak, but the available material does not authenticate the image file or establish who first leaked it. Dexerto’s October 28 report and the October 23 community post document the contemporary discussion, not a verified chain of custody.
What Epic officially released in Springfield
Epic’s November 1, 2025 announcement described the Springfield season as live. Its centerpiece was an 80-player Battle Royale on Springfield Island, alongside Simpsons-themed outfits, animated shorts, and in-game promotions.
- Springfield Battle Pass outfits: Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfielder Peely.
- Animated shorts: “Apocalypse D’Oh” (November 1), “Sugar High” (November 10), “Multiplidiocy” (November 17), and “The Incredible Bulk” (November 24).
- Kang and Kodos glider: Epic tied the promotion to linking Epic and MyDisney accounts. The announcement page says its deadline was updated to April 29, 2026; that promotion has expired.
- Twitch Drops: Epic also listed a Twitch Drops wrap as part of the season.
How many people played the Simpsons season?
Epic and Disney both later reported more than 80 million players, but their published accounts give different play-hour totals. The figures should be kept attributed to their publishers: neither announcement explains the discrepancy.

Disney also said the launch animated short reached No. 1 on Disney+ Top 10 Today in the United States. That is a separate viewing milestone, not a Fortnite player count.

In June 2026, Epic and Disney announced plans for The Simpsons to join Fortnite’s IP Partner Program. Their announcements said a toolkit, built with Disney, 20th Century Studios, and Gracie Films, would let Fortnite developers make Simpsons-themed experiences using Springfield characters and locations. At the time of those announcements, the toolkit was planned for later in 2026; the announcements do not confirm whether it is available now. This creator-program development is distinct from the player-facing Springfield season that launched in 2025.
