Epic’s season announcement described a Springfield Battle Royale island, Simpsons content in Delulu, a themed battle pass, and original animated shorts. A separate announcement in June 2026 was about tools for developers, not a new live event.
What Fortnite confirmed for the Simpsons season
Epic’s official announcement, published November 1, 2025, introduced a Simpsons-themed season set in Springfield. It described an 80-player Battle Royale island made by creators of The Simpsons, additional Simpsons content in Delulu, a Springfield battle pass, and weekly original animated shorts. The announcement framed it as a month of Simpsons-themed jokes, gadgets, and animation. Read Epic’s season announcement.

The official page is in Spanish, with the headline “Fortnite | Los Simpson: ¡Adentraos en Springfield en BR y Delulu!” It gives the launch date as November 1, 2025. This is retrospective news: it does not confirm a new Simpsons live event is planned for October 2026.
How the 2025 season differs from the 2026 developer announcement
The two official announcements concern different Fortnite content. The 2025 season was for players; the June 2026 news was for creators building experiences with Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).

| Simpsons joins Fortnite’s IP Partner Program | June 17, 2026 (Disney); June 18, 2026 (Epic) | Developers: a toolkit intended to make Simpsons characters, locations, and assets ready for UEFN projects. Disney said it was coming later in 2026. Disney’s announcement and Epic’s announcement. |
The June announcements do not confirm that a new player-facing live event was scheduled. Nor do they establish whether the toolkit has launched since the announcements; the stated plan was for it to arrive later in 2026.
How many players and hours did the Simpsons season reach?
Epic and Disney reported slightly different playtime totals for the fall 2025 season, so the figures should remain attributed to their publishers rather than combined:

- Epic reported more than 80 million players and over 750 million hours played. Epic’s June 2026 announcement.
- Disney reported more than 80 million players and 780 million hours played. Disney’s June 2026 announcement.
Both companies describe those totals as results from the prior fall’s season. Their published hours figures differ, and neither announcement explains the discrepancy.

No. The season page listed a Kang and Kodos glider for linking Epic and MyDisney accounts, with the deadline extended through April 29, 2026. It also listed a reward for watching on Twitch during a window that ended in November 2025. Those promotions have expired; the season announcement does not establish that either reward can still be claimed. See the promotion details on Epic’s page.

Epic also said the season’s animated shorts could be found on Disney+. That announcement does not establish their current availability in every region.
