Forza Horizon 4 reached a historical Steam peak of 75,689 concurrent players on June 30, 2024, five days after Playground Games announced that the game would be delisted. That is an all-time peak, not a current player count, and the timing alone does not show that the announcement caused the surge.
What the Steam player figure means
SteamDB’s Forza Horizon 4 chart records 75,689 concurrent players on June 30, 2024, as the game’s all-time Steam peak. “Concurrent” means players online at the same time; it is not the total number of people who own or have played the game.

The chart also has a live counter, but that changes over time. The 75,689 figure is a dated historical record, not a measure of how many people are playing now.
Why Forza Horizon 4 was delisted
On June 25, 2024, Playground Games said Forza Horizon 4 would leave the Microsoft Store and Steam on December 15, 2024, because of “licensing and agreements with our partners.” The announcement also said the game would leave Xbox Game Pass. DLC began leaving digital platforms on June 25, 2024.

The 75,689-player peak followed the notice by five days. That sequence may help explain renewed attention to the game, but the available figures do not establish that the delisting announcement caused the peak.
What delisting changed for owners
Delisting ended digital sales; it did not mean that existing owners would lose access to the game. Playground Games said owners could continue downloading and playing it offline, online, and in multiplayer. It also said physical copies purchased after the delisting could work and use online features.

On December 20, 2024, a Steam community post reported that the game was still playable and its servers were running. That is a report from that date, not a current verification of online-service status. If you are considering a physical copy, check that it is compatible with your platform and confirm its condition and included content; the delisting announcement does not establish the availability of any particular listing or DLC bundle.

The final Festival Playlist was Series 77, which ended on August 22, 2024. Playground Games said seasonal achievements would remain unlockable and described daily and weekly challenges continuing through the Forza Events screen. The end of the playlist therefore did not mean that all game activity or seasonal changes ended at the same time.
