If a Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist challenge looks complete but does not register, first check that you met the exact objective shown in the current Playlist. If you did and the progress indicator still has not changed, it may be a game-side tracking issue. Forza acknowledged and fixed a Playlist bug in March 2025, but that historical fix does not establish that the same issue is active in October 2026.
Check the challenge objective before repeating it
Open the current Festival Playlist and compare the challenge’s displayed requirements with what you actually completed. Check the required car, class, activity, and any other stated conditions, then look at the challenge’s progress indicator. These are diagnostic checks, not guaranteed fixes for every tracking problem.
- If a stated condition was missed, complete the activity again while meeting all displayed requirements.
- If the objective appears fulfilled but the progress indicator has not updated, avoid assuming the challenge is complete or that points will be awarded later.
Check for a current issue affecting your platform and version
Before repeating an event or waiting for a fix, check official Forza troubleshooting and issue-reporting information for a notice that matches your platform, game version, and current season. Turn 10 directs players to its troubleshooting process for issue status and workarounds: Forza Horizon 5 troubleshooting hub.
On PS5, PlayStation directs players to Forza Support for gameplay issues, patches, and bugs. Its support page also lists Festival Playlist as a supported multiplayer mode: PlayStation’s Forza Horizon 5 support page (UK). Platform-specific notices may not apply to players on other platforms.

What happened in the 2025 Playlist bug
On February 28, 2025, Forza community manager CM_Gul said, “We are aware of an issue with Festival Playlist challenges not marked as completed.” The official notice also identified seasonal Playlist points not being awarded. Forza advised players to complete Seasonal Championships, EventLab, and the Trial before the season ended, saying progress would be applied retroactively after a hotfix. The official incident thread was updated through March 12, 2025.
On March 12, Forza announced that the hotfix addressing Festival Playlist, Treasure Hunt, and stability issues was live. The announcement said Playlist progress and points for Summer and Autumn would be awarded after the hotfix was applied. The official Forza Community Forums update records that resolution. This is a historical incident and fix, not a current 2026 status notice; do not expect retroactive credit unless a current official announcement says it will happen.

Report a challenge that still will not register
If the current objective appears satisfied and there is no applicable official notice or workaround, report the issue through Forza’s official process. Turn 10 asks players to include reproducible steps and useful details.
- Challenge name and season
- Platform and game version
- The exact steps you took, including the activity and required car or class
- Whether the challenge or reward progress indicator changed
