Playground Games later confirmed the PS5 release and its 2025 launch dates, but those announcements do not verify that the port was finished the previous summer or explain why it may have been delayed.
What was claimed about the PS5 port?
On November 27, 2024, Insider Gaming reported that leaker eXtas1s said the PS5 port had already been made and its release was held back the previous summer. The report did not give a reason for the alleged hold.

That account contains two separate claims: that the port was complete, and that its release was delayed. Neither was confirmed by Playground Games in the official announcements reviewed. The later PS5 launch confirms that the game eventually came to the console; it does not establish when development finished or why the release timing changed.
