The Playlist windows below are the original 2024 schedule, not current unlock opportunities.
What the Modern Horizons update included
Playground Games described the update as bringing “The 21st century shines on Horizon Festival in our latest update: Modern Horizons.” The June 17, 2024 announcement framed it as a Festival Playlist series, with driving rewards and creative-building additions alongside a separate paid car pack. Read the official announcement.
The word “returns” in coverage from 2026 refers to the series returning, not to the date Modern Horizons first launched. The announcement does not establish whether any of its timed rewards or the car pack are available in a store or Playlist today.
Which cars were Festival Playlist rewards?
Five cars were scheduled as Playlist rewards: four tied to weekly seasons and one Series Reward. Each weekly car required 20 points in its respective week; the Series Reward required 80 points across the series.

These are the announcement’s original 2024 dates and point thresholds, not a claim that the cars can still be unlocked through those weeks. The post describes the EV6 GT as an electric, all-wheel-drive car. The official post lists the cars, requirements, and schedule.
What was added to EventLab?
Modern Horizons added 17 props for creating modern highway builds. Named pieces include highway pillars, short curves, a lane split, a junction, a lane merge, medium and long inclines, four- and two-lane highway roads, and short road sections in both widths. The highway pieces support snapping to make attachment easier.

What cars are in the Universal Icons Car Pack?
The Universal Icons Car Pack was announced as separately available for purchase, rather than as one of the timed Playlist rewards. It contains five licensed vehicles drawn from three film and television franchises:

The announcement describes film-inspired effects for the Back to the Future cars and a body kit for K.I.T.T. that allows Super Pursuit Mode. It does not provide a price or establish present-day availability by region or storefront. The official announcement describes the pack and its vehicles.

The release notes list general performance and stability fixes, plus a fix for an issue that prevented tuning the gear ratio on the 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 in stock configuration. Playground Games did not report a measured frame-rate, loading-time, or other quantified performance gain in the announcement. Consult the release notes in the update post.
