It offered six unlockable cars—two tied to community goals and four earned through the Festival Playlist—and added 18 EventLab props. A separate paid add-on, the Acceleration Car Pack, brought four more cars but was not part of those six rewards.
When the Race-Off series ran
Playground Games announced Horizon Race-Off on March 26, 2024. The series was scheduled for March 28 through April 25, 2024, and is no longer a live event. The official release notes list its six unlockable cars and confirm the series dates. Playground Games’ announcement and the official release notes provide the original schedule and reward details.
What were the six Race-Off cars?
Two cars were community-goal rewards; the other four were Festival Playlist rewards. The Playlist cars each required 20 points in the relevant week.

The dates and reward routes are from Playground Games’ 2024 announcement and the official release notes. The six-car count refers only to these two community rewards and four Playlist rewards; the paid car pack was separate.

How the community goals worked
Race-Off set a shared Asphalt Racing goal and a shared Off-Roading goal. Players contributed by completing eligible races, and the whole community received the matching reward once its goal was reached. Playground Games described the format as “two new community-wide goals for our players to complete, one for Asphalt Racing and one for Off-Roading.”

- Hot Wheels Speed Racing
- Rally Adventure Apex Predators races
Eligible Off-Roading events
- Mexico Dirt and Cross Country Racing
- Hot Wheels Hazard Racing
- Rally Adventure Horizon Raptors and Grit Reapers races
Rivals, Monthly Rivals and Forza EV, Showcases, Horizon Stories, Expeditions and EventLab events did not count toward either goal, according to the official announcement. These are the rules for the 2024 event, not a currently available challenge.

What EventLab content did the update add?
The update added 18 EventLab props, grouped as follows:
- Eight signs and flags
- Two helmet piñata gameplay props, which also appeared as collectibles in the Festival world
- Six festival structures
- Two barriers, both with snap functionality
Race-Off also placed an outpost in the world that changed location each week. Its decoration used blue for Asphalt and orange for Off-Roading. These prop and world details are from Playground Games’ Race-Off announcement.

What was in the Acceleration Car Pack?
The Acceleration Car Pack was a separate paid DLC release, not part of the six Race-Off unlockables. It added four cars:
- 1967 Shelby GT 500
- 2019 Ginetta G10 RM
- 2021 McLaren Sabre
- 2022 Ford Supervan 4
Playground Games announced the pack for March 26, 2024, at $4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99, and said it was not included in the Premium Version or Forza Horizon 5 Car Pass. The official release notes also state it was excluded from the Standard and Deluxe editions. Those are the original announced terms; store prices and availability can change by region and over time.

The US Xbox Store listing identifies the pack as downloadable content requiring Forza Horizon 5, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It showed $4.99 when checked on October 8, 2026; that is a dated US listing, not a guaranteed current or universal price.

The original community goals and weekly Playlist windows ended in April 2024. Playground Games later said in its March 26, 2026 Horizon Road Trip announcement that previous Festival Playlist-exclusive cars and cars participating in Backstage Vote would become purchasable in the Horizon Backstage Shop. The announcement described the shop as containing 136 cars at that time. It does not establish that every Race-Off reward is currently available, or that community-goal rewards are included.
