Forza Horizon 5’s Hidden Horizons series originally launched on September 10, 2024, introducing the six-player Hide & Seek mode, new vehicle choices, and a Stadium Maze. Playground Games announced selected Hidden Horizons content would return in January 2026; that later return is separate from the original launch.
What is the Hidden Horizons update?
Hidden Horizons was a Forza Horizon 5 series centered on a new multiplayer chase mode and themed Festival Playlist content. Playground Games published its overview on September 6, 2024, ahead of the series launch. Turn 10 Studios had previewed Hide & Seek and the Jordan collaboration on August 21, 2024.
Hide & Seek became available with the series on September 10, 2024, according to Turn 10’s Gamescom announcement. The original update details are in Playground Games’ September overview.
How Hide & Seek works
Each match has six players split between Hiders and Seekers. Hiders avoid detection and try to reach an End Zone once it is revealed. Seekers search for Hiders and stay close to fill a detection meter. Seekers must complete that meter before a Hider reaches the End Zone or the time limit expires.

Other content in the original series
The Stadium Maze and Detective Tank
The Stadium became a maze with platforms as an evolving-world location and appeared in some Playlist challenges. A Detective Tank collectible was hidden there. The “In Plain Sight” challenge asked players to smash 10 collectibles, and the tank was also available as an EventLab prop.

Jordan Camaro and Playlist rewards
A custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Jordan Luka 3 Forza Edition was distributed through the in-game Gifts tab beginning September 10, according to Playground Games. Turn 10’s earlier announcement described the Jordan collaboration Camaro as coming to both Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport in September.
Completing the first week’s “Expedition” Photo Challenge unlocked the Camo Race Suit. The series also had four weekly Playlist reward-car slots. The first listed reward was the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR for 20 points during the Summer season, available September 12–19, 2024. That was a limited, past reward window, not a current offer.

What returned in 2026?
On January 1, 2026, Playground Games announced that selected Hidden Horizons content would return in a later Playlist context, including the Stadium Maze and Detective Tank. The announcement also listed the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR as a Playlist reward available January 1–8 during the named season. That dated window has passed; the announcement does not mean the original update launched in 2026. See Playground Games’ January 2026 announcement for the return details.
