The game is Forza Horizon 6, but January 26, 2027 is not a confirmed PS5 release date. A report published October 7, 2026 attributes that date to leaker billbil-kun; Playground Games’ official announcement and FAQ instead say the PS5 version is planned for later in 2026 and give no exact day.
What is the reported PS5 release date?
The October 7, 2026 AOL article reproducing PlayStation LifeStyle’s report says billbil-kun reported January 26, 2027 for the PS5 version. The story also says an official announcement is expected, and its text makes clear that the date has not been officially confirmed. Treat January 26 as a reported leak, not a publisher-set date.
What has Playground Games confirmed?
In its January 22, 2026 announcement, Playground Games said Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PS5 “later this year”. The official FAQ, also dated January 22, 2026, gives the same broad window and no specific PS5 release day. Those are dated plans, not confirmation of the January 2027 leak.
The confirmed schedule in that announcement is for Xbox Series X|S and PC: May 19, 2026, with Premium Edition early access starting May 15, 2026. Those dates do not establish when the PS5 edition will launch.

What is Forza Horizon 6 about?
Forza Horizon 6 is developed by Playground Games and is set in Japan, according to Xbox Wire’s September 25, 2025 announcement. Xbox described the PS5 version as being developed for release after the game’s initial launch.
Are the PS5 disc and price details official?
No PS5 price, disc edition, or preorder date is established by the official announcements cited here. The October 7 report attributes its additional PS5 format and pricing details to the same leaker, so those should also be treated as unconfirmed until the publisher or platform holder announces them.
