The date is still in the future as of October 8, and neither Garena’s official support nor its redemption portal publishes a dated code list. Codes circulating on October 8 are not proof that they will work on October 16. Check again that day and treat any code as unverified until Garena accepts it.
Where to find codes for October 16
Garena distributes codes through some live or online events, including livestreams, and says rewards vary. Its official support page does not provide a daily code list: Garena Free Fire Support: Redemption Codes. A third-party tracker’s codes marked current on October 8 do not establish that they will still be valid on October 16, work in your region, or be available to your account.

On October 16, use codes only from sources you can verify, then submit them through Garena’s official Rewards Redemption Site. The portal’s acceptance is the practical confirmation that a code works for your account. Codes may expire, have regional restrictions, or be subject to one-time use or redemption limits.
How to redeem a Free Fire MAX code
- Open Garena’s Rewards Redemption Site.
- Sign in with the account linked to your game. Guest accounts cannot redeem codes.
- Check that the displayed nickname and region match the account where you want the reward.
- Enter the code exactly as issued, then submit it and follow the portal’s confirmation.
- Check your in-game mail and Vault for item rewards, or your account wallet for gold or diamonds.
Code length and where rewards appear
Garena’s support article describes codes as 12 characters, while the live portal says codes may contain 12 or 16 uppercase letters and numbers. Because the official guidance differs, do not reject a 16-character code just because of its length. Copy the full code exactly and let the portal validate it.

- Google Play gift codes can be used on the Google Play Store, the official app store for Android, to purchase apps, games, and more.
- To redeem, enter code in the Play Store app or play.google.com.
- Endless games to explore: Find and play old and new favorites – from mind-bending puzzles to epic quests and more.
- Just the app you’re looking for: Millions of apps means millions of ways to get things done, learn something new, and maybe even meet someone special.
Garena support says item rewards may take up to 24 hours to arrive through in-game mail. The portal also identifies the Vault as a destination for item rewards and says gold or diamonds are added to the account wallet. A full in-game mailbox can prevent delivery, so make room if an accepted item reward does not appear.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why a code may not work
- It has expired: Event codes can be time-limited. A code listed on another date may no longer be valid.
- It is region-restricted: A code may not apply to your account’s region.
- It has already been used: Garena says codes are usually one-time use per account unless the issuing terms say otherwise.
- You are signed into the wrong account or using a guest account: Verify the portal’s displayed nickname and region before submitting.
- The code was entered incorrectly: Copy it as issued, including every character, and rely on the portal’s validation rather than guessing at its format.
Check the event terms and the portal’s response before trying another account or assuming a reward is guaranteed. A code list is not confirmation of eligibility or availability.
