Does Frostpunk 2 have modding tools?
Yes. At launch, 11 bit studios announced FrostKit as a beta tool for Windows users. The publisher described custom maps with unique models and new scenarios as examples of what it could be used to create. Was there a Frostpunk 2 Day One patch?
The official launch announcement does not identify a distinct Day One patch, list a patch version, or provide its contents. The available official sources therefore do not substantiate the claim that a particular Day One patch launched. This is different from saying no software update occurred: it means the specific Day One patch claim is not established by those announcements.
What is documented after launch

Why the publisher discussed day-one improvements before release
In a June 27, 2024 announcement about delaying the game to September 20, 11 bit studios said it had reviewed beta feedback and prioritized gameplay and UI/UX improvements. The studio said it wanted those additions in the game on day one rather than in a later patch.
