Frostpunk 2 launched on PC on September 20, 2024. 11 bit studios’ schedule set a simultaneous global launch, with local times ranging from 10:00 AM PDT in Los Angeles on September 20 to 3:00 AM AEST in Sydney on September 21. Digital Deluxe buyers had Advanced Access from September 17; that was not the standard release date.
Frostpunk 2 PC release date and launch times
11 bit studios scheduled the PC launch for September 20, 2024, at the same moment worldwide. Because local clocks and dates differ, some cities reached September 21 when the game launched.

Why some players had earlier access
Digital Deluxe owners received Advanced Access beginning September 17, 2024, three days before the standard PC release. 11 bit studios described this as 72 hours of exclusive access to story mode. The date changed from July 25

The console timing is less clear in the announcements. An 11 bit studios investor announcement gave June 13, 2025 as a global release date for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. A later announcement about physical editions stated that the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S physical editions would release on September 18, 2025.

Those announcements describe different release contexts. They do not, by themselves, establish why the dates differ or verify the actual digital console launch date, so September 18 should not be treated as a confirmed digital launch date.
