Fu Lubao is a Where Winds Meet NPC at General’s Shrine in Verdant Wilds. He is connected to the General’s Shrine section of the Meow Meow Temple Wandering Tale, but turning in the Meow Meow Bell and building affinity with him are separate goals: the bell advances the tale, while a conversation about his friend Fu Luwa is the reported friendship route.
Where to find Fu Lubao
The NPC directory places Fu Lubao at General’s Shrine in Verdant Wilds, with a location hint of the upper-left side beside a stone pillar. Another guide describes him as near the Fighting Pit at the shrine. These are guide directions rather than an official map marker, so check the current game client if the precise spot differs. Where Winds Meet NPC directory (reviewed June 24, 2026); SPACE4GAMES guide (November 27, 2025).
Choose your goal: quest completion or friendship
| Goal | What to do | Is the Meow Meow Bell needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Complete the General’s Shrine part of the Meow Meow Temple Wandering Tale | Obtain the bell from the cave puzzle, then give it to Fu Lubao. | Yes, according to Nerd’s Chalk’s walkthrough. |
| Improve affinity through the Old Friends conversation | Tell Fu Lubao you are a friend of Fu Luwa. | No, according to SPACE4GAMES; it describes the bell as part of a separate questline. |
The guides describe different interactions for different objectives. Do not hand over the bell expecting it to be necessary for the friendship route, or rely on the friendship dialogue to complete the Wandering Tale. How to complete the Meow Meow Temple Part 2 step
Nerd’s Chalk’s November 28, 2025 walkthrough reports this sequence for the General’s Shrine portion of the tale:
- Complete the hidden-cave puzzle. Place the small statue in front of the Buddha statue altar. The guide says this unlocks the Meow Meow Bell and completes Part 1.
- Speak to Fu Lubao near General’s Shrine.
- Interact with him again and select the Meow Meow Bell when prompted.
- Hand over the bell. The walkthrough says the tale completes and rewards are granted automatically.
The walkthrough lists the Part 2 rewards as 30 Echo Jade, 10 Qinghe Exploration XP, 2,500 Coins, and 2,500 Stored EXP. These are figures reported by that November 2025 guide, not values independently confirmed in the current game client. Nerd’s Chalk.
How to approach Fu Lubao for friendship
For the separate Old Friends conversation, SPACE4GAMES recommends telling Fu Lubao that you are friends with Fu Luwa. Fu Luwa is described by the guide as the dog Fu Lubao and Fu Lushou treat as a “big brother.” Suggested wording includes “I am a friend of Fu Luwa” and “I’m friends with Dog Fu Luwa.”
