Game Republic has announced an Investment Summit for October 2026 in London, in partnership with MCM Comic Con and as part of EGX/MCM Comic Con. The announcement does not confirm that GamesIndustry.biz will host a panel, or name a host or panellists.
What has been announced for October 2026?
Game Republic says it will work with MCM Comic Con again in October 2026 for its Investment Summit at EGX/MCM Comic Con. The summit follows a separate partnership for the MCM Comic Con Indie Games Summit in May. Game Republic’s October announcement confirms the event and partnership context, but gives no exact day or session schedule.
Is GamesIndustry.biz hosting a panel?
The available October announcement does not identify GamesIndustry.biz as a panel host, nor does it name any host or participants. The article title’s panel-host claim is therefore not confirmed by the cited announcement. Game Republic should be treated as having announced the summit, not a GamesIndustry.biz session.
Who hosted the May 2026 panel?
Game Republic’s May 22, 2026 Indie Games Summit was a distinct event. Its recap says Jon Hicks hosted an investment panel there; that does not establish his role at the October Investment Summit. The recap also reports more than 100 industry guests at the May event, a figure that applies only to that summit. Read Game Republic’s May summit recap.

What about the 2025 Investment Summit panel?
The 2025 programme is historical context, not a confirmed 2026 lineup. ReedPop described that year’s Investment Summit as an opportunity for independent developers to learn about securing investment. The GamesIndustry.biz panel had Lewis Packwood as moderator, with Cassia Curran, Lirui Ding, Simon Byron and Meg Clarke. None of those names is confirmed for October 2026. ReedPop’s 2025 event page.
When is the summit, and how can readers check details?
The summit is announced for October 2026 in London, as part of EGX/MCM Comic Con, but the announcement does not state the exact date. It also does not provide ticket information, panel participants, a host or a session schedule.
