Choose by how you will maintain your collection. Backloggd suits a web-first social diary; Grouvee is the flexible shelf-and-list choice with a documented daily Steam import; Backloggr is aimed at iPhone users who want automatic PlayStation, Xbox and Steam imports; and Gamepouch focuses on combining many storefront libraries and showing which games friends both own. GG and SavePoint are mobile-oriented alternatives, while specialist tools cover completion times or physical collections.
No tracker is universally best. The decisive questions are whether you will add games manually or import them, whether a native phone app matters, how much organization you need, and whether your friends use the same service.

What a game-tracking app should do
A useful game backlog tracker has four jobs: record what you own, show what you plan to play, remember what you finished, and make that information useful to you or your friends. Services differ sharply in how they perform those jobs.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Collection entry: manual search and logging gives you control, while connected imports save time but depend on account permissions, platform support and game matching.
- Organization: status shelves such as Playing or Backlog are quick; custom shelves, lists, notes and filters are better for large or unusual collections.
- Social context: some services emphasize follows and activity feeds, others reviews, ratings or overlapping libraries.
- Access: a responsive website works on a phone but is not the same as a native iOS or Android application.
- Portability: export tools matter if you have spent years logging games and later decide to move.
Because integrations and prices change, treat provider descriptions as current claims rather than guarantees of import completeness, uptime, privacy or identical free-tier features.

Backloggd: a social game diary in your browser
Backloggd’s official about page presents it as a personal video-game collection tracker. You can log games, follow friends, share reviews, compare ratings and filter your collection. Its model works well when entering a game is part of your play ritual: add a title, place it in the backlog or current-play list, then record a rating or review when you finish.
How its social model works
The official FAQ documents following users and seeing their marked-finished activity. Friend-specific review and rating sections make it easier to discover what people you trust actually thought, rather than relying only on a global score. This is a follow-and-activity model, so check how your account’s privacy settings expose logs before adding a large history.
Important limitation
Backloggd says it has no native mobile app at present. Its website is optimized for small screens, which is useful for occasional logging but different from an installed app with a dedicated mobile interface. The official pages also do not establish a complete automatic-import feature set. If you require hands-off synchronization, verify that before building your collection there.
Cost
Backloggd’s official FAQ states: “There is no cost! Browsing the site is free, creating an account is free, and all current features are completely free!” The same service offers an optional Backer status. That is a vendor statement, not an independent price audit, and feature availability can change.

Grouvee: the flexible shelf-and-list option
Grouvee is a strong match for players who want more than one backlog bucket. Every account includes four built-in shelves: Playing, Played, Backlog and Wish List. You can add custom shelves for categories such as co-op nights, games suitable for children or titles you own on a particular platform. Personal and community lists provide another layer when a shelf is too broad.
Steam import behavior
Grouvee’s help documentation says Steam imports run once every day and require a publicly viewable Steam profile. The service also warns that some Steam games may not map to the correct Grouvee entry. Expect to review the imported collection, especially for bundles, remasters, episodic releases and games with similar names. A daily job is convenient for maintenance, but it is not an instant mirror of your Steam account.
Social and tracking features
Grouvee supports ratings, reviews, playtime tracking and friends. Adding friends lets you see their reviews and shelves, while community lists help with themed discovery. This combination favors a player who enjoys curating a collection and discussing it, not just checking a completion percentage.

The help page includes a CSV export option, which gives you a practical escape route if you later change services. It also says Grouvee Gold starts at $10 per year. Recheck the current price, renewal terms and which capabilities are included before paying.

Backloggr: automatic imports with an iPhone-first workflow
Backloggr’s official product page promotes an iOS tracker that automatically imports PlayStation, Xbox and Steam libraries. It also provides manual entry for physical games, indie titles and anything outside those integrations. That combination is useful if most of your digital collection lives on the three connected services but you still buy cartridges, discs or small-platform releases.
What the statistics cover
The product page advertises collection, completion, backlog-depth and hours-played statistics. It also describes a unified view of Steam achievements, PlayStation trophies and Xbox Gamerscore. Backloggr reports more than 350,000 games in its database and support for more than 250 platforms; those are vendor-reported product counts, not independent market measurements.
Free versus Pro
Backloggr says tracking starts at €0 and that optional Pro adds deeper analytics and full achievement history. Do not assume every statistic or historical achievement record is available on the free tier. Before linking accounts, confirm supported permissions, the exact platforms in your region and whether a connector requires Pro.

The service also advertises unified Steam and Xbox achievements, price comparison and a friend-library comparison that finds games both people own. That last feature addresses a common social question directly: instead of asking everyone to list their libraries, compare connected collections and identify a shared candidate. Confirm that each connector works for your account type and region; provider documentation does not establish universal coverage or reliability.
Mobile-focused alternatives: GG and SavePoint
A 2026 secondary roundup describes GG as a mobile-first tracker for iPhone and Android that connects several storefronts and consoles, with some capabilities behind optional Pro. The same roundup describes SavePoint as offering native iPhone and Android apps alongside a web app and calls imports a strength. A separate comparison describes GG as having a light social layer and SavePoint as offering Steam, Xbox and PlayStation synchronization on a paid tier, plus household-library features.
These are secondary descriptions rather than direct feature tests. Check the current App Store or Google Play listing, release notes and pricing screen before depending on either service for a large collection.
Specialist tools for narrower jobs
You may not need a general social tracker. The 2026 roundup identifies several focused options:
Best Value
- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
- HowLongToBeat: completion-time estimates for planning a realistic queue.
- Playnite: a Windows PC launcher and library manager.
- GAMEYE: cataloguing for a physical collection.
- Stash: mobile social collection tracking and release alerts.
- Infinite Backlog: web tracking with automatic imports.
Those distinctions come from a secondary roundup and were not independently verified against each provider’s current official pages. Use them as starting points for a specialist need, not as a definitive ranking.
Choose by your maintenance style
If you will log games manually
Pick Backloggd for a straightforward web diary and friend activity, or Grouvee if custom shelves, lists and a CSV export matter. Manual systems work best when you decide on a small vocabulary—such as Backlog, Playing, Finished and Dropped—and apply it consistently.
If you want automatic imports
Grouvee is the clearest documented Steam option, with a once-daily schedule and a public-profile requirement. Backloggr targets automatic PlayStation, Xbox and Steam imports on iOS. Gamepouch aims at the broadest listed storefront mix. In every case, inspect the first import for missing, duplicate or incorrectly matched games.
If your friends drive the decision
Use Backloggd when follows, finished activity, reviews and ratings are the priority. Use Grouvee when you want to inspect friends’ shelves and reviews. Choose Gamepouch when the practical question is which games two people already own. A tracker is most useful when the people you actually play with use it too, so ask your group which service they will maintain.
If a native phone app is non-negotiable
Backloggr is explicitly marketed as iOS software. The 2026 roundup lists GG for iPhone and Android and SavePoint for native iPhone and Android apps plus web access. Backloggd’s mobile website is not a native app; do not treat those access models as interchangeable.
Set up a tracker without creating a second backlog problem
- Inventory your sources. List each Steam, PlayStation, Xbox or other storefront account, plus physical games and titles on unsupported platforms.
- Decide your status vocabulary. Choose what Playing, Backlog, Wish List, Dropped and Completed mean before importing.
- Connect one account first. Run the smallest available import, then check whether privacy settings or account permissions block it.
- Audit matches. Correct remasters, editions, bundles, DLC entries and similarly named games. Record any titles the service cannot map.
- Add manual exceptions. Enter physical, indie or unsupported-platform games and place them in the same status system.
- Configure social visibility. Decide whether friends can see your shelves, reviews, ratings and activity. Share only what you intend to publish.
- Export a backup when offered. Grouvee documents CSV export; keep a copy before a major cleanup or migration.
- Recheck after a month. Confirm that scheduled imports run, new purchases appear and your chosen statuses still reflect how you play.
Common pitfalls and fixes
- “My Steam games did not appear.” For Grouvee, make the Steam profile publicly viewable, wait for the daily import and inspect mapping errors. Other services may require a fresh account authorization.
- “The wrong edition was matched.” Search for the exact release, platform and region; avoid counting a soundtrack, demo or DLC entry as the main game.
- “The app says it supports my console, but sync is missing.” Confirm that the connector is available in your country, that your account type is supported and that the feature is not Pro-only.
- “My backlog is overwhelming.” Keep one active queue, use a separate Wish List for unowned games and reserve Dropped for titles you deliberately will not resume.
- “Friends cannot see my activity.” Check whether the service uses follows, mutual friendships or explicit sharing, then review profile and shelf visibility settings.
- “I want to switch services.” Export data where possible, save screenshots or a local list for fields that do not export, and expect to remap titles after importing into the new service.
Bottom line: match the tracker to the habit you will keep
For a free, browser-based social log, start with Backloggd. For custom shelves, lists, friends’ reviews and a documented daily Steam import, Grouvee is the more structured choice. For an iPhone workflow centered on automatic PlayStation, Xbox and Steam synchronization, investigate Backloggr and verify its Pro boundaries. For a multi-store collection and friend-owned overlap, evaluate Gamepouch. If native Android access is essential, check the current GG and SavePoint listings before committing.
The best tracker is the one you will update after buying a game, finishing a session or deciding to drop a title. Test the import, confirm the privacy controls and export a small sample before investing time in a full library.
