The program also describes project-level funding of $1,000 to $100,000 or more, plus guidance on game and economy design and live operations. Those figures describe different things: the $5 million is the announced overall pool, while the smaller range is the stated potential funding for an individual project.
What Gamefam’s Creator Fund offers
Gamefam’s public program page describes funding alongside development support, including game and economy design guidance and live-operations resources. Roblox and Fortnite are its main focus, though Gamefam says projects on other user-generated-content platforms may also be considered. The announced pool of up to $5 million was reported at launch in 2024 by GamesBeat and in Gamefam’s launch post. The public fund page separately lists project funding from $1,000 to $100,000 or more. Gamefam has not established how much of the announced pool remains available.
The program is therefore not simply a platform reward or a promise of a fixed grant: the public page frames support as project funding and practical assistance. It does not publish fund-outcome statistics such as the number of recipients, money deployed to date, or recipient success rates.
Who can apply, and what projects qualify?
According to the Gamefam Creator Fund FAQ, applicants may be based anywhere, must be at least 18, cannot be full-time employees of a video game company, and need either a working prototype or games they have launched before. The FAQ says projects can be at different stages, from concepts to games already live on Roblox, Fortnite, or another UGC platform.

There is a difference between the FAQ’s summary and the written submission agreement. The agreement, last updated June 13, 2024, specifies that an applicant must have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction and bars employees or independent contractors of a game developer or publisher. It also says Gamefam may add eligibility criteria. Applicants should check the current agreement and FAQ rather than assume the older agreement’s terms or the FAQ summary are unchanged.
How the application process works
Gamefam’s page describes a staged review rather than an automatic award:

The submission agreement contains terms that matter independently of whether a project is ultimately funded. Its published version is dated June 13, 2024; review the version in force when applying. The agreement says:

Roblox’s Creator Rewards are platform-specific earnings mechanisms, not payments from Gamefam’s fund. Roblox documentation says all creators began earning Daily Engagement Rewards on July 24, 2025, subject to the program rules; its separate referral-related mechanisms also have their own rules. These terms can change, so consult Roblox’s Creator Rewards documentation for current details.

Roblox also announced 144 million daily active users in March 2026 and described its Incubator and Jumpstart creator programs. That is Roblox’s dated platform-reported figure, not a measure of Gamefam’s audience, fund reach, or results. The programs differ in who operates them and what kind of support they provide, so Roblox rewards and programs should not be treated as equivalent to a third-party project fund.
Gamefam’s Dev X page describes modular services for Roblox creators, including business-building support, revenue-sharing, licensing, and access to the Creator Fund and partner funding. It is additional context about Gamefam’s creator services, not evidence of a separate affiliate offer.
