Gameplay Galaxy’s reported $24 million in seed funding was not a single new 2024 round: it combines a $12.8 million seed announced in 2022 and an $11 million extension reported in 2024. The company said the new capital would accelerate Trial Xtreme Freedom and expand a competitive Web3 ecosystem. Player-owned tracks and bikes, tournaments, and token earning were described as planned features; the available reporting does not verify that they launched or gained adoption.

What is Gameplay Galaxy?

Gameplay Galaxy is a game studio whose current website describes a multi-game portfolio that includes Trial Xtreme and Duels. Its stated direction is to build competitive arenas and a broader Web3 game ecosystem. The company says the Trial Xtreme franchise has passed 300 million downloads; that figure is the studio’s own claim, not an independently measured total. Gameplay Galaxy’s website presents its current positioning.

The studio’s Web3 concept links gameplay to blockchain-based ownership: instead of limiting in-game assets to ordinary game items, the proposed design would let players own and trade certain assets as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). That is a description of the announced model, not confirmation that every asset or feature is available in a live game.

How the $24 million funding total was assembled

Announcement Amount and description Investors named
September 7, 2022 $12.8 million seed round announced by Gameplay Galaxy Blockchain Capital led the round; participants included Merit Circle, Mysten Labs, Solana Ventures, Com2uS, Yield Guild Games, and Hustle Fund.
August 27, 2024 GamesBeat reported an $11 million extension, bringing total seed funding to $24 million Blockchain Capital and Merit Circle led the extension.

The amounts are company fundraising announcements and GamesBeat’s reporting, not audited financial statements. GamesBeat’s story was updated June 18, 2025. GamesBeat’s funding report describes the extension and the $24 million cumulative total; Gameplay Galaxy’s 2022 announcement lists the original seed round and its participants.

What did Gameplay Galaxy say it would do with the money?

For the 2024 extension, the stated priorities were to accelerate development of Trial Xtreme Freedom and build out a competitive Web3 esports ecosystem. GamesBeat’s coverage also described planned features for the game: players could own tracks and bikes, run events and tournaments, and earn tokens. These are reported plans, not verified launch details. The cited coverage does not establish which functions shipped, who could access them, or whether players used them at scale. GamesBeat’s report outlines the proposed direction.

What was the original Web3 game concept?

In its 2022 announcement, Gameplay Galaxy presented Trial Xtreme as the starting point for an ecosystem that might later include other extreme-sport games. The company proposed that players could own vehicles, racetracks, characters, workshops, and other items as NFTs, trade them through a decentralized marketplace, and compete in or host tournaments. The company’s announcement described that intended design; it does not establish that the marketplace or all those ownership functions became operational.

Can players own tracks or bikes in Trial Xtreme Freedom?

Track and bike ownership were among the features described in reporting on Gameplay Galaxy’s 2024 plans. The cited sources do not independently confirm that players can currently acquire, own, trade, or use those assets in Trial Xtreme Freedom. They likewise do not verify the launch status of tournaments or token earning. Treat these capabilities as announced or proposed unless the game itself or a current official product update confirms availability.

What is confirmed—and what remains unknown?

  • Confirmed as announced or reported: a $12.8 million 2022 seed round, an $11 million extension reported in 2024, a cumulative $24 million seed total, and the stated aim of advancing Trial Xtreme Freedom and a competitive Web3 ecosystem.
  • Described as planned: player ownership of tracks and bikes, events and tournaments, and token earning in connection with the game.
  • Not established by the cited sources: feature-by-feature launch status, current player access, adoption, token performance, current revenue or player counts, and financing after August 2024.

Founder and CEO Doron Kagan described the intended experience in the 2022 company announcement: “The advent of Web3 has resulted in an open field of creative opportunities for game creators. Gameplay Galaxy has designed a new ecosystem that harnesses the full power of Web3 to provide a much more exciting and interactive gaming experience for our players.” This is the company’s stated ambition, not independent evidence that those outcomes were delivered. The announcement and quotation date to September 2022.
