Gamers for Giving 2024 raised more than $1.25 million for Gamers Outreach, the organizer said in its April 16 recap. The event combined an in-person LAN party in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with an online streamathon, and set a fundraising record for the organization at the time. The recap gives a minimum—over $1.25 million—not an exact final total.
How much did Gamers for Giving raise?
Gamers Outreach reported that the 2024 fundraiser raised over $1.25 million. GamesBeat also reported the result on April 8, 2024. The organizer described it as its biggest fundraiser to date and a new record. Because the recap states “over $1.25 million,” the final amount should not be treated as exactly $1.25 million.
The result belongs to the 2024 edition. In its 2026 annual report, Gamers Outreach said Gamers for Giving 2025 raised $1.76 million. That later figure is a separate year’s result, not a revision of the 2024 total.
How the 2024 fundraiser worked
Gamers for Giving took place April 5–7, 2024, at Eastern Michigan University’s George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti. It paired an in-person LAN party with an online streamathon, allowing people to participate and raise money remotely as well as attend in person. Gamers Outreach reported more than 1,200 in-person attendees.

Where the fundraising supports gaming for hospitalized children
Gamers Outreach uses gaming and gaming equipment to support children in hospitals. One of its programs, GO Karts, provides portable, medical-grade gaming kiosks for hospital use. GamesBeat reported that the fundraiser would help provide hospitals with gaming hardware, but the organizer’s recap does not publish a program-by-program breakdown of the money. It therefore does not establish that all proceeds went to GO Karts.

Gamers Outreach also credited the Hermitcraft community and friends with raising over $840,000 during the 2024 event. That is a contribution within the event’s overall total, not an additional amount to add on top of the more-than-$1.25-million result.

Gamers Outreach said Lenovo Legion donated 200 monitors for GO Kart deliveries. The organization estimated that, once deployed, those monitors would support 580,000 gaming experiences annually. That is a capacity estimate for experiences, not a count of unique children. Lenovo Legion was also listed as a 2024 event sponsor; the recap named AOC, Bisect Hosting, Cooler Master, and CLX Gaming among the event sponsors as well.
