What is Pets Survivors?
Vergiu’s Pets Survivors is a single-player survival roguelike in which you fight waves of monsters, collect experience, and choose upgrades for a weapon, special ability, or pet. Its developer and publisher describe the run-to-run variety this way: “Each run offers different builds and playstyles, allowing you to experiment with strategies and discover powerful synergies.”
The game’s Steam listing says it was released for Windows on June 1, 2026. The US PlayStation Store lists digital PS4 and PS5 editions with a release date of August 12, 2026. The PlayStation product description says players can choose from 14 playable pets and a dozen starting weapons; that count is the store’s description, not an independent tally. For the Steam Windows edition, the listed minimum requirements are Windows 10, a 2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, DirectX 9, and 80 MB of storage. Store listings and regional availability can change, so check the relevant storefront for the edition you intend to play.

Which games are most like Pets Survivors?
These five options share the wave-survival or build-focused action appeal, but each changes an important part of the formula. Their order is not a quality ranking.
Vampire Survivors: the closest fit for the core loop
Choose Vampire Survivors if what you want most is surviving large enemy waves while upgrades build toward a powerful run. Its official store description presents it as a gothic-horror casual game with roguelite elements, and Steam lists an October 20, 2022 release. It does not share Pets Survivors’ pet-selection theme. Brotato: short arena fights and multi-weapon loadouts
Brotato puts you in control of a potato carrying up to six weapons while fighting waves of aliens. Traits and items shape each build, making it a strong alternative if you like making a loadout work across tightly bounded arena encounters. Steam lists single-player and local co-op features. 20 Minutes Till Dawn: more direct aiming and firing
Pick 20 Minutes Till Dawn if you want to aim and fire actively rather than rely on an auto-shooter framing. Its official description highlights directional aim, weapons, runes, and special abilities; it describes runs as lasting 10–20 minutes and advertises over 50 upgrades during a run. Halls of Torment: gothic heroes and dark fantasy
Halls of Torment keeps the horde-clearing premise but frames it around heroes, terrifying monsters, treasures, and magical trinkets. It suits players looking for a darker action-RPG atmosphere and a progression structure centered on hero and item choices rather than pets. Halls of Torment on Steam.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor: mining layered onto sci-fi combat
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a single-player survivor-like auto-shooter that brings in mining resources and a weapon arsenal from Deep Rock Galactic as you face alien hordes. It is the pick if you want the familiar survival format with terrain and resource gathering as additional considerations. Its sci-fi setting is a clear departure from Pets Survivors’ animal theme.
