Build Pearl as an Elation-focused sustain and support: pair her with Elation allies to increase the action advance from her Ultimate, and choose a non-Pearl ally who can make strong use of the resulting Certified Banger and Punchline burst. For a current team example, Prydwen recommends Pearl / Silver Wolf LV.999 / Aventurine • Waveflair / Yao Guang; a four-Elation alternative is Pearl / Evanescia / Trailblazer (Elation) / Yao Guang. These are guide recommendations, not universally optimal lineups.
How Pearl’s team-building works
Pearl is an Elation sustain and support whose kit centers on DEF, team healing and damage mitigation. Her Ultimate costs 180 Energy, grants Certified Banger, and designates a non-Pearl ally as the Aesthetic Archetype. The target’s action advance increases with the number of Elation characters on the team; with four or more Elation characters, that ally also gains an extra turn. Prydwen’s Pearl guide details the kit and its build implications.
That makes team selection a balance between maximizing the Elation count and filling practical roles. Keep a sustain or defensive option if the encounter demands it, and select the Aesthetic Archetype based on which ally can best convert Pearl’s burst into damage or more frequent Ultimate use. Your available characters and the fight matter more than copying a sample lineup exactly.
Pearl best teams
| Team | Elation count | Role balance and trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Pearl / Silver Wolf LV.999 / Aventurine • Waveflair / Yao Guang | Three Elation characters, assuming the listed characters’ current paths. | A current Prydwen example that combines Elation synergies with Aventurine • Waveflair’s defensive role. It does not reach the four-Elation threshold for an extra turn from Pearl’s Ultimate. |
| Pearl / Evanescia / Trailblazer (Elation) / Yao Guang | Four Elation characters. | A full-Elation example that reaches the Ultimate’s extra-turn threshold. It gives up the named Aventurine defensive slot, so consider encounter demands and available sustain when using it. |
Both lineups are listed as current guide recommendations, rather than tested guarantees for every roster or encounter. The four-unit setup exploits Pearl’s specific team-count mechanic; the mixed setup retains a dedicated defensive option while still fielding multiple Elation allies. If a character is unavailable, preserve the jobs the team needs—Elation count where possible, a target who benefits from the burst, and adequate survival—rather than treating these names as mandatory.

Who should Pearl designate as the Aesthetic Archetype?
Choose the ally whose turns and damage best exploit Certified Banger and Punchline. Icy Veins describes Silver Wolf LV.999 as a strong target: Pearl’s Ultimate can align with Silver Wolf’s turns, and Silver Wolf converts Punchline into Hidden MMR. Yao Guang is another option when more frequent Ultimates are useful. Aventurine • Waveflair can also be a strong target, though Icy Veins cautions that this choice restricts him to Elation teams. Icy Veins’ Pearl guide discusses these target choices.
Pearl’s enhanced Basic ATK changes according to whether the designated ally follows Elation. It heals allies and can return Energy and a Skill Point; her Talent also uses Certified Banger as a damage-mitigation resource. In practice, prioritize a target who benefits from the burst without undermining the team’s survival or role coverage.

Pearl build: stats and equipment
Stats
Prydwen recommends Outgoing Healing or DEF% on the body, Speed on the feet, DEF% on the Planar Sphere, and Energy Regeneration Rate on the Link Rope. Its suggested endgame targets are 2,500–3,500 DEF, 160–180 Speed and 50% Effect RES. Treat these as Prydwen’s endgame goals, not requirements for casual progression or every team. Its listed substat order is Speed, then DEF%.
Light Cones
Prydwen identifies Colors for Tomorrow as Pearl’s signature Light Cone and says it improves healing and DEF-based sustain. It also lists Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures as a free-to-play option. HSR Build names A Little Getaway as a budget four-star fit. Compare the Light Cones you actually have by their DEF contribution, Energy or Speed utility, and relevant Elation effects; the signature is not presented as mandatory.

HSR Build labels its page version 4.6 and updated September 26, 2026, but its header says version 4.6 is not yet released. Its Light Cone rankings are calculations based on kit scaling, not playtesting. Prydwen’s profile says it was last updated October 1, 2026, with its latest review and major build/calculation update for Patch 4.6. HSR Build’s Pearl page provides its separate recommendations and method caveat.
Relics and Planar Ornaments
Prydwen recommends Dreamlit Actor as the first Relic set, with Diviner of Distant Reach and Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder as alternatives. For Planar Ornaments, it lists Broken Keel and Sprightly Vonwacq. HSR Build also names Dreamlit Actor and Sprightly Vonwacq. Favor a suitable option you already own when replacing it would leave Pearl short on core stats or delay a useful team build.

Trace priority: guides differ
Current Patch 4.6 guides do not agree on Pearl’s Trace order, so there is no single uncontested priority established by these recommendations.
| Guide | Listed priority | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Prydwen | Elation Skill > Ultimate > Basic > Skill > Talent | Its Pearl profile identifies its major build and calculation update as Patch 4.6. |
| HSR Build | Ultimate > Skill > Talent > Basic ATK | The site says its rankings are derived arithmetically from kit data rather than community tier lists or playtest measurements; its version-status header says 4.6 is not yet released. |
Use the ordering that fits how you play Pearl and which parts of her kit your team relies on, rather than treating either ranking as a measured, universal result.

What the recommendations establish
The current specialist guides provide kit descriptions, build targets, team examples and their own rankings. They do not provide a named, attributable statistic about how players generally build Pearl, so guide targets and percentage comparisons should not be read as population data. HoYoverse’s official character page confirms Pearl’s character identity and provides lore, but it is not tactical build guidance.
