What it is
A Valley Without Wind is a 2D action-adventure game from Arcen Games, set in the procedurally generated world of Environ. It combines side-scrolling exploration, tactical combat and settlement-building, without a fixed linear route. You can take on missions to earn spells, search the wilderness for secret missions and crafting loot, or rescue people to grow your settlement and send them on dispatch missions. Character combinations of spells and enchants affect movement, jumping and fighting. The world lets you travel freely, including into the Overlord’s keep before you are ready, and completing one continent leads to a larger, more complex one. Enemies and missions adapt as your proficiency grows, while tips and checklists can help guide your travels. You can play alone or with friends, with online and LAN co-op listed. It was released in 2012 for Windows, macOS and Linux.
