What it is
Starward Rogue is a single-player bullet hell twin-stick shooter from Arcen Games. Set in the Megalith, a labyrinth lodged in the side of a star, it has you pilot a mech through a roguelite dungeon and customize your build with weapons, perks and upgrades. Runs unfold across more than 500 rooms, with regular enemies, minibosses and epic bosses among the threats. Choose from nine starting mechs with abilities including time control and shot magnetism, and pick among five difficulty levels. The perk system lets you develop a run as you level up, while shops offer upgrades and secrets can change how the game plays. The game also supports mods, with a wiki covering how to create enemies, items, weapons and rooms. It is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, with full controller support as well as keyboard and mouse play.
