What it is
Nemesis of the Roman Empire is a real-time strategy game from Haemimont Games, with separate Roman and Carthaginian single-player campaigns. The Roman campaign sends legions to attack Carthage, while the Carthaginian campaign follows the empire's rise again under Hannibal. Gameplay combines character development with battles and gives player-controlled heroes command of armies of up to 50 units. Maps include neutral settlements and camps that can threaten players. Settlements manage resources locally or send them elsewhere, and units can capture caravans, outposts, cities, and settlements. Players can also build ships and shipyards for naval battles or transport, improve armies and settlements with upgrades, and use items that provide bonuses to their carriers. Rituals at ancient worship sites affect the wider game world. Steam lists single-player and Family Sharing. The listed platform is Windows, and the release date is January 28, 2016.
