What it is
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is a platform adventure from Oddworld Inhabitants, released in 2001 and later ported in 2016. It follows Mudokon champion Abe and Munch, his aquatic Gabbit partner, as they seek to recover the last Gabbit eggs, which have been turned into a canned product. Abe and Munch work together, using distinct abilities to move through Oddworld’s challenges. Abe can climb, jump and run, and can chant to possess enemies and use their weapons. Munch can swim, move on land with a wheelchair power-up, and operate a remote control head port to control a crane. Their psychic powers let them extend their reach and enlist others’ help. The 2016 port includes 60 FPS, higher-resolution textures, higher-poly models, improved audio and cut-scenes, and fixes and improvements. On Steam it is a single-player game with achievements, trading cards, partial controller support and Family Sharing. Steam lists Windows; the broader platform list also includes macOS, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
