What it is
Ylands is a free-to-play sandbox adventure from Bohemia Interactive, released for Windows in 2019. You explore a world divided into six regions, each with its own resources and wildlife, gathering materials to craft tools, weapons, clothing, armor, workstations and decorations. You can build a home, invite friends, or construct a ship to travel between islands and discover changing encounters at sea. Wildlife, location-based enemies and guarded caves make preparation part of exploration.
The game offers Adventure mode for solo or co-op play, with exploration, gathering, crafting, building and sailing. Creative Mode provides access to all resources for building, while Community Games are made by creators. Steam lists single-player, multiplayer, PvP and co-op play, plus a level editor and full controller support. Ylands combines survival and construction with a relaxed, low-poly presentation and world lore to uncover through an Adventurers Handbook.
