Gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show has added four national pavilions for its 2026 Bangkok edition: Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the United States. Their participation brings the announced total to 20 pavilions from 12 markets, with exhibitors from a record 29 countries and regions.

The announcement on 15 October 2026 names the organisations representing the four new pavilions:

The organisers had previously announced other national participation. With these four additions, the 2026 show is positioned as a larger meeting point for Southeast Asian, Asian and Western game businesses rather than only a consumer convention.
When and where is the 2026 show?
Gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 runs from 29 October to 1 November 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

- 29 October–1 November: the entertainment area runs for the consumer audience.
Developers seeking meetings should plan around the two business days. Players attending for stages, demos, esports or cosplay can use the full four-day entertainment schedule, subject to the organiser’s ticket and access rules.
What developers, publishers and investors can expect
National-market access
The pavilions give studios a concentrated way to identify partners in markets that can otherwise require separate trips and introductions. The organiser describes the expansion as a bridge between Western studios and Southeast Asian markets. Felix Falk, Managing Director at game – the German Game Industry Association, said national pavilions receive backing when there is a clear business case, calling the event a direct route for Asian developers to international partners and a gateway for Western studios to fast-growing games markets.

Business programme
The professional programme includes a conference with more than 80 speakers from 27 countries, pitch and reverse-pitch competitions, and Invest Circle and VIP XPerience sponsored by Xsolla. These formats are designed for companies looking for funding, publishing, distribution, investment or service relationships rather than general foot traffic.

The expanded pavilion count adds four more government- or trade-backed entry points to that existing business infrastructure.
What gamers can expect in the entertainment halls
The July announcement says the show will cover more than 35,000 square metres across four entertainment halls, a 20% increase in total event space compared with the previous edition. Public programming includes live stages, esports challenges, influencer meet-and-greets, a cosplay competition and an indie area.

Showcase participants listed by the organiser include Synnex, 4Divinity, Bandai Namco Entertainment, CAPCOM, FC Online, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, GRYPHLINE, Nintendo, Razer Game Services, SEGA, The Pokémon Company, AMD and SANDISK. The national pavilions add country-focused displays and meetings to those broader commercial and entertainment attractions.

The attendance and negotiation figures are historical results for 2025, not forecasts for 2026. The 2026 country and space figures are announced plans and may be refined by the organiser as the show approaches.

Kittipong Prucksa-aroon, President of the Thai Games Association, said the event brings Southeast Asia’s leading games markets together with major gaming nations at a scale not otherwise available in one venue. That positioning matters for studios that need several kinds of contact at once: publishers and distributors, capital, technology suppliers, talent, media and players.

For a developer, the practical value depends on preparation. The business area is professional-only, so teams should arrange meetings, prepare a concise pitch and identify which pavilion or competition matches their objective. A consumer attendee, by contrast, should focus on the entertainment schedule, stages, esports activities, indie area and public showcases across the four-day run.
What has not been announced
The announcement identifies the four pavilion sponsors and the headline programme, but it does not provide a complete exhibitor list for every pavilion, individual meeting schedules, or a final day-by-day timetable. Ticket sales and exhibitor-space opportunities are confirmed by the official event site; availability, access categories and prices should be checked there before travel.
