GamesRadar+ Replay’s October 2026 theme is spooky, and your clip does not have to come from a horror game. Send in a creepy, eerie, scary or simply strange gameplay moment for a chance at one of two Amazon voucher prizes: £250 or $250 for the best clip overall, and £250 or $250 for the best clip in the spooky theme. GamesRadar+ says its team will choose the winners at the end of October; the announcement does not state an exact entry cutoff.
What counts as a spooky clip?
Almost any game can fit. The October 2026 announcement says the clip need not be outright horror: creepy moments, eerie happenings and other incidents that suit the season are welcome. A strange glitch, unsettling encounter or sudden scare can all work if the footage feels spooky.

The competition has two distinct award categories: best clip from any game overall, and best clip in October’s spooky theme. GamesRadar+ does not say that entrants may submit to only one category, so check the submission form for any entry limits rather than assuming one.
How to submit an entry
- Open the October Replay announcement or the Replay page, then select “Submit your clip.”
- Review the current form for its file, format and other technical requirements. The October announcement does not specify them; the terms direct entrants to follow the requirements shown on the submission page.
- Read the Replay terms and conditions before uploading. Submitting means agreeing to them, including the licence for use of your footage.
- Complete the form and submit your clip. The announcement says winners are selected at month end, but it does not give an exact deadline for entries.
Who can enter, and what should you check?
The current Replay terms, version 1.1 and last updated 21 October 2025, require submitters to be at least 18 and residents of the United Kingdom or United States. GamesRadar+’s general explainer also limits eligibility for the Amazon gift card to UK and US residents and notes that other restrictions may apply. - The terms prohibit unlawful or harmful content, harassment, privacy violations and infringement of other people’s rights.
- A previous general explainer mentions clips under 10GB, but that is not an October-specific requirement. Use the current submission form for the applicable file limit and specifications.
Understand the footage licence before uploading
Submitting is not just a private file transfer. You keep copyright in your footage, but grant Future Publishing Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable licence. The terms permit the company to host, store, reproduce, modify, edit, publish, display, perform and distribute the footage in any media or format.
The terms also say you will not be paid for those uses, will not approve the final presentation, and waive moral rights. Your footage may be shared or reused after publication. GamesRadar+ may feature selected clips, but a feature is not guaranteed, and the terms say it is not required to credit the submitter. The Replay page allows selected clips to be credited or submitted anonymously, but that does not promise credit in every case.

Do you need a capture card?
No. GamesRadar+’s gameplay recording guide describes built-in capture options on PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, as well as PC options including NVIDIA recording and Steam Game Recording. Platform features and recording limits vary, so check the guide and your system’s current capture settings. For a short clip, built-in recording is the simplest place to start.
An external capture device is an optional alternative if you want longer or more flexible console recordings, or a file saved directly to a PC or laptop. The guide names the Elgato HD60 series as an example, not a required model. External capture can add setup and may introduce latency; depending on your arrangement, a splitter may be needed to view gameplay on a monitor while recording. You can also use built-in capture and transfer a saved clip from the console if that suits your needs.
