No Garena-issued redeem code tied to August 17 could be verified, so no code should be treated as active for that date. The title gives neither a year nor a server region, and Garena says codes can be region-specific and can expire, so a date on its own does not show that a code will work on your account. What follows covers how to redeem any code through Garena’s official portal, why a code gets rejected, and where rewards appear once a code is accepted.
What can be verified about August 17
Garena’s official support material explains how redemption works, but it does not publish a list of codes for August 17. A code that appears in a video title, a social post, or a third-party list is not evidence that it still works. Before you try any code, check three things:

- The issuing source and date. Only an official Garena announcement or event post counts as a primary source.
- The region. Garena states that codes may be region-specific, so a code issued for another region may be rejected on your account.
- The expiry. Garena states that codes can expire, and that expired codes cannot be redeemed.
How to redeem a code on the official portal
Use Garena’s Rewards Redemption Site at reward.ff.garena.com, the portal Garena’s live redemption page directs players to. Do not enter codes on unofficial redemption sites.
- Open reward.ff.garena.com in a browser.
- Sign in using an option linked to your game account. Guest accounts cannot redeem. Garena’s English support article says: “You will not be able to redeem your rewards with guest accounts.” (Garena Free Fire Support, “Redemption Codes”)
- Check the nickname and region shown on the page. If they are not the account you play on, stop and sign in with the correct account before entering anything.
- Type the code exactly as issued, then confirm.
- Read the result message. A success message means the reward has been queued for delivery; check the locations described in the section on where rewards appear.
Why a code is rejected
A rejected code usually has one of four causes. Work through them in this order before assuming the code is dead.

Typing or length errors
Copy the code exactly, including letter case. Garena’s India support article, updated September 3, 2026, says codes have 12 uppercase letters and numbers, while the live portal accepts codes of either 12 or 16 characters. Do not assume every code has the same length; enter the code as issued and let the portal validate it.
Expiry
Garena’s portal states: “Please note redemption expiration date. Any expired codes cannot be redeemed.” A code that worked for someone else last month may simply be past its end date.

Region mismatch
If the code was issued for a different region than the one shown on your account, the portal can reject it even when the code is typed correctly. Confirm the region on the portal before trying again.
Prior use
Codes are usually limited to one use per account unless the issuer states otherwise. Garena says an “invalid or redeemed” message can mean another player has already used the code, so a rejection does not always point to an error on your side.

Where rewards appear after redemption
The delivery location depends on the reward type:
- Item rewards arrive in in-game mail. The portal also states that item rewards appear in the Vault.
- Gold or diamonds are credited to the account wallet rather than sent by mail.
- Missing item mail can be caused by a full mailbox. Garena warns that a full mailbox can prevent mail delivery, so clear space in your mailbox and check again.
Other free rewards Garena lists
Garena’s guidance on free items lists several routes that do not depend on codes: missions, time-limited events, some free Luck Royale spins, and guild or rank token exchanges.
