Is Gears of War: E-Day on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes. Xbox lists Gears of War: E-Day as included at launch with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. If you have one of those plans, you can play without buying a separate game copy while it remains included in the catalog. Xbox does not list Game Pass Standard as an included plan.

When did Gears of War: E-Day release, and where can you play it?
Xbox lists October 6, 2026 as the global release date. Premium Edition early access began October 1. The game is available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with PC versions listed through the Microsoft Store and Steam. What kind of game is E-Day?
E-Day is a prequel set fourteen years before the original Gears of War. Its story follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde first emerges on Sera. The Coalition’s Nicole Fawcette described the story as beginning both the Locust War and the bond between Marcus and Dom; that is the developer’s framing of the story, not an independent review assessment.

It also includes a SteelBook, replica COG tags, a photograph, an art print and the Premium Edition of the game. The Xbox Series X version includes a physical disc. Availability is limited and varies by region, according to The Coalition.
