What is Gears of War: Reloaded?
Reloaded brings the first Gears of War to current platforms as a remaster. Publisher materials say it includes the original game’s post-launch additions, including a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps, characters, and cosmetics. The official Gears of War franchise page also describes 4K assets and cross-platform play and progression.
What platforms is Gears of War: Reloaded on?
The announced platforms are Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Feature details differ by platform, so the release is not identical across every version.
Does Gears of War: Reloaded have crossplay and cross-progression?
Yes. Xbox Wire says players on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam can play together. Signing in with a Microsoft account enables cross-platform parties and lets campaign and multiplayer progression carry across devices, according to the publisher. PlayStation’s product page also describes cross-play and campaign-save carryover.

Versus supports cross-platform groups of up to eight players, according to Xbox Wire. The campaign can be played in split-screen or online co-op on supported platforms.

Xbox Wire’s 60 FPS campaign and up-to-120 FPS multiplayer figures are publisher-stated specifications, not independent performance test results. A compatible display is needed to take advantage of advertised high-resolution, HDR, or high-frame-rate output.

Can you get Reloaded through Game Pass?
At launch, Xbox Wire described availability through PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. Subscription catalogs can change, so check the current catalog before subscribing or assuming the game is still included.
Xbox Wire also announced a free upgrade for qualifying Xbox players who had purchased the digital Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before May 5, 2025. That historical cutoff did not apply generally to owners of any edition.

Xbox Wire listed a US suggested retail price of $39.99 in its 2025 launch announcement. That is a historical launch price, not a current price quote; check the relevant storefront for today’s price and availability.
