How do the games differ in content?
Ultimate Edition adds campaign material to the original
Ultimate Edition is a remaster of the original Gears of War. Its publisher highlights five campaign chapters that had not previously appeared on Xbox, along with 19 remastered multiplayer maps and six competitive modes. The additional chapters are part of this edition’s campaign offering.
Reloaded includes post-launch content
The Coalition says Reloaded includes the full breadth of Ultimate Edition content and makes the original game’s post-launch content available without extra cost. That content includes a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps and modes, characters, and cosmetics. The official descriptions do not provide a complete item-by-item overlap list, so their headline counts do not establish every difference between the two releases.
