Download GeForce 511.32 from NVIDIA. This is a historical driver, not a generally recommended modern installation. Use it when a game, application, benchmark, system image, or troubleshooting procedure specifically requires version 511.32; otherwise, check NVIDIA’s Advanced Driver Search for a newer compatible release.

NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 511.32 WHQL
Before downloading, verify that the page shows version 511.32, WHQL certification, the January 27, 2022 release date, and your Windows version. NVIDIA may send you through a license-confirmation page before the installer begins downloading.
Avoid unofficial mirrors, modified packages, and one-click driver-updater utilities. They are unnecessary for this installation and may obscure the publisher, bundle unrelated software, or provide a file without the same release context as NVIDIA’s page.
Does 511.32 support the RTX 3050?
Yes—NVIDIA’s 511.32 supported-products list explicitly includes the desktop GeForce RTX 3050. That confirmation should not be broadened to every product containing “3050” in its name.

For a laptop, start with the computer manufacturer’s support page. NVIDIA’s notebook guidance directs users to the OEM for certified drivers, which may be important for hybrid graphics, Advanced Optimus, display switching, power management, firmware, thermal controls, and vendor hotkeys. NVIDIA lists notebook products separately on its notebook driver pages.

Use the NVIDIA notebook driver guidance before trying a desktop package on a laptop.
Supported Windows versions
NVIDIA lists:
- Windows 10 64-bit
- Windows 11
There is no indication on this download page that 511.32 supports 32-bit Windows, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Linux, or Windows on ARM. Check your architecture at Settings > System > About > System type. For an exact 511.32 installation, Windows Update is not a substitute for NVIDIA’s archived package because it may offer a different driver.
Confirm which RTX 3050 you have
Device Manager
- Press Windows + X.
- Select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Read the complete device name.
You can also press Windows + R, enter devmgmt.msc, and press Enter. A desktop card normally appears as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050; a notebook normally identifies itself as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.
DirectX Diagnostic Tool
- Press Windows + R.
- Enter
dxdiag. - Open the Display or Display 1 tab.
- Check the device name and driver information.
NVIDIA Control Panel
- Right-click the desktop and open NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Select Help > System Information.
- Record the GPU name and current driver version.
How to install GeForce 511.32
- Create a restore point or make sure important work is backed up.
- Close games, browsers using hardware acceleration, recording tools, GPU monitors, and creative applications.
- Download the installer from NVIDIA’s official 511.32 page.
- Run the downloaded
.exefile, preferably with administrator permission. - Allow the installer to extract its temporary files and accept the license terms.
- Choose Express Installation for the default setup, or Custom (Advanced) for more control.
- With Custom installation, select Perform a clean installation if you are replacing a corrupted or troublesome driver.
- Wait for the installation to finish.
- Restart Windows, even if the installer does not immediately require it.
- Verify that version 511.32 is installed.
Express or Custom installation?
Use Express Installation when the current driver is working normally and you simply need the historical package installed.
Use Custom (Advanced) when the existing installation is corrupted, NVIDIA Control Panel settings are malfunctioning, or you are dealing with black screens, crashes, or persistent artifacts. The clean-install option resets driver profiles and replaces the graphics-driver installation; it is not the same as removing every NVIDIA component with a third-party utility.

A clean installation cannot repair defective hardware, unstable overclocks, bad cables, failing power supplies, overheating, Windows corruption, or damaged game files.
Verify the installation
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Help > System Information and check the driver version.
- Open Device Manager > Display adapters > RTX 3050 > Properties > Driver.
- Run
dxdiagand inspect the Display tab. - Launch a game or GPU-accelerated application to confirm hardware acceleration works.
- Check Event Viewer if the driver repeatedly resets or crashes.
Different Windows tools may show different dates or package details. The NVIDIA driver version is the decisive value, not simply the timestamp shown by Windows Update.
If the installer says the driver is incompatible
- Confirm that the device is actually an RTX 3050.
- Confirm that Windows is 64-bit.
- Check that the package matches Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11.
- If the computer is a laptop, try the manufacturer’s certified driver first.
- Restart Windows and retry the NVIDIA installer with Custom installation.
- Check whether Windows is temporarily using Microsoft’s basic display driver.
- Inspect the device’s hardware ID in Device Manager if its name is unusual, hidden, or modified.
- If an application specifies a driver version, follow its compatibility guidance rather than downgrading automatically.
Common causes include using a desktop package on a laptop, a modified OEM hardware identifier, Windows in a restricted mode such as S mode, a package that does not contain the relevant notebook branch, an enterprise or OEM image, or corrupted installer extraction files.

Restart first and test with overclocks removed. If the problem continues, reinstall using Custom (Advanced) and Perform a clean installation. Also check temperatures, power connections, display cables, Windows integrity, and the game’s files; a driver is not the only possible cause of artifacts or crashes.
On laptops, display switching, external-monitor behavior, sleep/wake failures, brightness controls, or missing vendor hotkeys are strong reasons to return to the laptop manufacturer’s driver. A generic NVIDIA package may support the GPU while still failing to match the system’s firmware and display-routing design.

How to roll back from 511.32
Use Device Manager
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click the RTX 3050 and select Properties.
- Open the Driver tab.
- Select Roll Back Driver, if available.
- Restart Windows.
Reinstall a known-good package
If rollback is unavailable, download the previous known-good driver from NVIDIA or the laptop manufacturer. Install it with Custom installation and use the clean-install option if the current installation is damaged. A restore point created before the installation is another recovery option.
Record the currently installed version before changing it, and avoid running several different driver-cleaning methods at once unless ordinary rollback and reinstall have failed.
Should you install 511.32 today?
511.32 was released on January 27, 2022, so it is a legacy driver as of 2026. Its RTX 3050 compatibility does not make it the best current driver.

NVIDIA also released a separate Studio Driver 511.33 on January 27, 2022. It is not the same package as Game Ready 511.32: Game Ready drivers prioritize gaming-related support, while Studio drivers target tested creator-application workflows.
