After connecting a Battle.net account, GeForce NOW can synchronize supported games and reduce repeated login prompts through automatic sign-in. This is not the first Battle.net support announcement: supported Battle.net titles began arriving on GeForce NOW in 2024, while direct account linking and automatic sign-in were announced in December 2025.
What NVIDIA added
There are three related features, and they should not be confused:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Battle.net game support: Selected Battle.net games became playable through GeForce NOW during February and March 2024. NVIDIA later expanded the catalog.
- Library synchronization: Connecting Battle.net helps GeForce NOW identify supported games associated with your account.
- Automatic sign-in: After the one-time connection and initial authentication, supported games can require fewer Battle.net login steps on later launches.
The update does not unlock the entire Battle.net catalog or provide ownership of paid games. Availability remains dependent on the specific title, store edition, country and publisher permissions.

- Multi-Platform PC Gaming Controller: Working with Switch, PC, Android, and iOS devices via Bluetooth, wired, and wireless dongle connections.
- Hall Effect Joysticks: Delivering enhanced recentering performance for smoother control and superior anti-drift capability. Plus, with anti-friction rings.
- 2-Way Trigger Lock: With trigger stops, gamers can toggle between short and long pull positions. Additionally, gamers can activate hair trigger mode by pressing M+LT/RT (triggers must be in the long pull position).
- 1000Hz Polling Rate: This ensures that your inputs are registered almost instantaneously, minimizing lag and maximizing your performance during competitive play.
- Mechanical Circular D-pad: Designed for quick reactions and accuracy in every direction, this D-pad elevates your gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
Which Battle.net games work?
NVIDIA has specifically cited titles including Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, Call of Duty HQ and Hearthstone. Later additions included games from the StarCraft and Diablo series.
That is an example list, not a permanent catalog. Use NVIDIA’s live supported-games search before buying a game or troubleshooting a missing library entry. The listing can change, and a game may be supported only through a particular store or edition.
How to connect Battle.net to GeForce NOW
- Open the GeForce NOW app.
- Open Settings.
- Select Connections.
- Choose Battle.net, then select Connect.
- Sign in on the Battle.net website.
- Complete two-factor authentication if requested.
- Return to GeForce NOW and confirm that Battle.net is shown as connected.
- Launch a supported Battle.net game.
On supported TV platforms, the app may display a QR code. Scan it with a phone or other mobile device and complete the account-linking flow there. NVIDIA’s full instructions are available in its support article.
If you had already connected Battle.net before automatic sign-in was introduced, NVIDIA says the first launch may still require one additional login. Later launches should require fewer authentication steps for supported games.

Do you need to buy the games again?
Usually, no—but GeForce NOW does not include a free license for paid Battle.net games. It is primarily a bring-your-own-games service: you generally need to own the game through a supported store or have access through a supported subscription.
- A Steam purchase does not automatically grant the Battle.net edition.
- A console purchase does not automatically grant the PC or Battle.net version.
- The Battle.net edition must be individually supported by GeForce NOW.
- Free-to-play games such as Overwatch 2 may not require a separate game purchase, but they still require the relevant publisher account.
Account linking authenticates your Battle.net account and helps identify supported games. It does not transfer purchases between Battle.net, Steam, Xbox or other stores.
Is a paid GeForce NOW membership required?
NVIDIA offers Free, Performance and Ultimate memberships, along with Day Passes in some markets. A paid membership is not inherently required, but the free tier has more restrictions and may be less suitable for regular play.

These are advertised maximums, not guarantees. Actual resolution, frame rate and responsiveness depend on the device, display, game and network. Check NVIDIA’s official marketplace for current regional pricing.
Which plan makes sense for Battle.net players?
- Free: Best for occasional players, supported free-to-play games and testing account linking, queues and latency before paying.
- Performance: A reasonable fit for ordinary 1080p or 1440p play when you want better access and quality than the free tier.
- Ultimate: Intended for high-refresh-rate displays, competitive players and users who want the highest advertised performance ceiling.
As of 2026, NVIDIA says Performance and Ultimate memberships include 100 hours of monthly playtime, with up to 15 unused hours rolling over. After premium hours are exhausted, users can purchase additional time or continue under a reduced free-user experience until the allowance resets. Qualifying legacy Founders memberships may have different treatment if they do not lapse.
That limit matters for people using GeForce NOW for long sessions of games such as World of Warcraft or Diablo IV. A Day Pass can be a lower-commitment test where available.

Common problems and fixes
The wrong Battle.net account is connected
GeForce NOW uses the connected Battle.net account. To switch accounts, open Settings > Connections > Battle.net, select Disconnect, then select Connect and sign in with the desired account. NVIDIA documents this process in its account-switching support article.
Rank #4
- Meticulously designed for superior gameplay and menu navigation
- Connect to any Shield device for superior control at home and on the go
- Extend your gameplay up to 40 hours with a long-life rechargeable battery and cable
- Precision Controls
- Microphone for search and commands
The game is owned but does not appear
Ownership and GeForce NOW compatibility are separate checks. The game may be unavailable in your country, supported only through another store edition, temporarily disabled, listed under a different launcher entry or absent from the current catalog. Search NVIDIA’s live supported-games page and verify the exact store version.
The game still asks for credentials
A login prompt can be normal on the first launch after an existing Battle.net connection, particularly while the automatic-login update is being initialized. Complete the login and try the game again later.
The account will not link
Check that you are using the intended Battle.net account, complete two-factor authentication, and confirm the browser flow has finished. If the connection status does not update, disconnect Battle.net, sign out of Battle.net in the browser, reconnect, authenticate again and restart GeForce NOW.
PC Game Pass ownership is unclear
Do not assume that access to a game through PC Game Pass automatically works through its Battle.net launcher. NVIDIA maintains separate store and subscription support paths. Check the exact GeForce NOW listing for the game and its supported edition.
Best Value
- Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
What the integration does—and does not—solve
The practical benefit is convenience: less repeated authentication, easier library discovery and a lower hardware barrier for supported games. GeForce NOW can stream those games to supported PCs, Macs, browsers, phones, tablets, selected TVs, handhelds and other compatible devices.
It does not guarantee low latency, remove queues or session restrictions, make every Battle.net game available, make store editions interchangeable or ensure that launchers, anti-cheat systems, mods and peripherals behave like they do on a local PC. A compatible device and reliable internet connection are still required.
Bottom line
GeForce NOW’s Battle.net integration is primarily an account and authentication improvement, not a new storefront or a universal Battle.net catalog unlock. Connect the Battle.net account that owns the relevant PC games, verify each title in NVIDIA’s live catalog, and use the free tier or a Day Pass to test the experience before committing to a paid plan. For regular play, choose Performance or Ultimate based on your display, latency needs and expected hours—but account for the current 100-hour monthly premium limit.
