| Game | GeForce NOW date | Listed access |
|---|---|---|
| Kingdom Come: Deliverance II | February 4, 2025 | Steam |
| Sid Meier’s Civilization VII | February 11, 2025 | Steam, Epic Games Store |
| Avowed | February 18, 2025 | Steam, Battle.net, Xbox and PC Game Pass |
NVIDIA’s original February announcement said the service had passed 2,000 supported games at the time.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
The sequel arrived on GeForce NOW on its February 4 PC launch date through Steam. NVIDIA’s launch coverage advertised up to 4K at 120 frames per second for Ultimate members and 1440p at 120fps for Performance members, with eight-hour and six-hour session references respectively. Those were figures published in February 2025 and should not be treated as current plan limits without checking NVIDIA’s live membership terms.

Alongside the suite of features from NVIDIA G-SYNC and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, you're guaranteed that whatever's on-screen is a distinct viewing delight.
As a large open-world RPG, it is a strong use case for cloud gaming if your local computer cannot render it comfortably. However, latency can be noticeable during timing-sensitive melee combat.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
Civilization VII was listed for Steam and the Epic Games Store, with regular availability scheduled for February 11. NVIDIA also noted premium-edition advanced access beginning February 5. Advanced access is not the same as the standard PC launch, and GeForce NOW support still depends on owning the supported Steam or Epic version.
Recommended Free Tools
Turn-based strategy is generally more tolerant of small latency fluctuations than a first-person action game, but keyboard-and-mouse support and readable text matter more than maximum frame rate.
Avowed
Avowed arrived on February 18 through Steam, Battle.net and Xbox, with PC Game Pass availability identified by NVIDIA. Buying a console copy does not automatically mean you have the PC entitlement needed for GeForce NOW; the relevant Xbox or Microsoft account must have access to the supported PC version.

NVIDIA’s launch post promoted up to 4K/60fps with HDR for Ultimate members on supported devices. It also mentioned limited-quantity Day Pass availability. These are dated NVIDIA claims, not a guarantee of identical results on every device, connection or membership tier.

Do GeForce NOW members get these games for free?
Usually, no. GeForce NOW provides remote gaming hardware and streams the result to your device. You normally need to own the game through a supported PC storefront or have access through a supported subscription such as PC Game Pass.
NVIDIA currently describes connections to Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PC Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect. The usual process is:

- Create or sign in to a GeForce NOW account.
- Connect the relevant store account.
- Search for the game in GeForce NOW.
- Select the correct storefront edition.
- Sign in to the store if prompted, then launch the game.
A GeForce NOW membership and the game license are separate costs. Publisher agreements, region, edition, DLC and account requirements can all affect whether a title launches.
Storefront details that matter
- Steam: A Steam purchase may provide the PC license required for a Steam listing, but the game must still be present in the live GeForce NOW catalog.
- Epic Games Store: Epic purchases do not transfer to Steam. Use the Epic account and edition that owns the game.
- Battle.net: Avowed’s listing included Battle.net, so users should choose that integration only if they have the corresponding eligible PC license.
- Xbox and PC Game Pass: The relevant PC entitlement is required. A console-only purchase or console-only subscription should not be assumed to unlock the PC cloud version.
What you need to play
Because the game is rendered in NVIDIA’s data centers, you do not need a high-end local gaming PC. GeForce NOW supports a range of PCs, Macs, phones, tablets, TVs and handheld devices, but the exact experience depends on the device, app or browser, controller support and region.
You do need a stable broadband connection with low latency to a nearby GeForce NOW data center. Ethernet is preferable; 5GHz Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi 6/6E is usually better than congested 2.4GHz wireless. A faster internet plan alone cannot eliminate latency caused by distance, routing or local congestion.
- Use a controller for console-style play if preferred.
- Use a keyboard and mouse for games such as Civilization VII.
- Expect queues or shorter sessions on lower-cost tiers when capacity is busy.
- Check regional availability before purchasing a game for cloud use.
Which membership makes sense?
NVIDIA’s current membership page identifies Performance and Ultimate tiers, with paid-plan benefits including premium queues, longer sessions, higher resolutions and Install-to-Play access. NVIDIA also advertises Ultimate-only RTX 50-series performance and DLSS 4 features, plus a 24-hour Day Pass in supported markets.
Do not rely on the 2025 launch-post limits or on a fixed price from older coverage. Check the live membership page and checkout for current pricing, capacity and regional terms.

A Day Pass can be useful for testing network responsiveness with Avowed or Kingdom Come: Deliverance II before committing to a monthly plan. It does not replace the separate game license.
When a February game fails to launch
The game does not appear
- Search NVIDIA’s official GeForce NOW games directory.
- Check the specific storefront listed for the title.
- Confirm that you own the PC edition or have an active supported subscription.
- Disconnect and reconnect the relevant store account.
- Try another supported storefront if you own the game there.
- Check NVIDIA’s service-status and support information.
The game asks you to buy it
This usually means GeForce NOW cannot verify an eligible license. Common causes include owning only the console version, signing into the wrong account, losing PC Game Pass access, selecting a different edition or encountering a publisher-account mismatch.
The stream looks poor or feels delayed
Try wired Ethernet, a less congested 5GHz or Wi-Fi 6/6E connection, automatic or closer server selection, and lower stream resolution or bitrate. Close downloads and video streams, and test without a VPN. If the data center is far away, local troubleshooting may improve the stream without removing all latency.
Bottom line
NVIDIA’s February 2025 GeForce NOW lineup was headlined by Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Civilization VII and Avowed, alongside 14 other announced games. The key limitation is that GeForce NOW generally streams games you already own or access through a supported subscription. Confirm the storefront, PC entitlement and current catalog listing before paying for either the game or a cloud membership.
