Verdict: The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is a 4,608-CUDA-core Blackwell card available with 8 GB or 16 GB of GDDR7. The 16 GB version is the safer long-term choice for demanding games because memory capacity can protect 1% lows and texture headroom, but neither version is automatically good value: NVIDIA’s $429 figure was the U.S. 16 GB launch price in April 2025, while later U.S. listings became substantially more expensive.

RTX 5060 Ti specifications

NVIDIA lists the RTX 5060 Ti on its official RTX 5060 family page as a Blackwell-generation GPU with 4,608 CUDA cores, a 2.41 GHz base clock and a 2.57 GHz boost clock. The Ti comes in two memory configurations: 16 GB or 8 GB of GDDR7. The base RTX 5060 is an 8 GB product, so its specification should not be confused with either Ti model.

Specification RTX 5060 Ti
Architecture Blackwell
CUDA cores 4,608
Base clock 2.41 GHz
Boost clock 2.57 GHz
Memory 8 GB or 16 GB GDDR7
Feature support DLSS, ray tracing, fifth-generation Tensor Cores and NVIDIA Studio support listed by NVIDIA

DLSS, ray tracing and Studio are platform features identified by NVIDIA; the specification page does not establish a ranking in any particular game or creator application.

Launch price versus what buyers actually pay

NVIDIA announced the card on April 15, 2025, for release on April 16. Its announcement states: “The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, launching April 16th, is available in 8GB and 16GB configurations, starting at $379 and $429, respectively.” Those are dated U.S. starting launch prices, not guaranteed current retail prices.

  • A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis

Prices moved higher in the U.S. market. In an August 10, 2026 snapshot, Tom’s Hardware reported a median listed price of $529.99 for the 8 GB RTX 5060 Ti among the listings it tracked. That number applies only to that publisher, date, market and listing set. It is not a universal price, and it says nothing by itself about today’s 16 GB price. Check the exact board, seller, shipping cost, stock and warranty in your region before deciding.

Why the 8 GB and 16 GB models are not interchangeable

The GPU core is the same family, but memory capacity can change how a game behaves once textures, ray tracing and resolution consume more than an 8 GB card can comfortably hold. Average frame rate may look similar while frame-time consistency and 1% lows diverge.

PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5060 Ti 8GB OC Dual-Fan Graphics Card
  • Dual-Fan Cooling in a Compact Design - Two fans work together to distribute and dissipate heat efficiently across a compact design, delivering the thermal headroom to sustain boost clocks without demanding a full-length card slot.
  • Masterfully Crafted Cooling - A dense heatsink pulls heat away from the GPU while a vented metal backplate adds passive cooling and reinforces the card against sagging, resulting in lower temperatures for stronger performance and stability in demanding workloads.
  • Overclocked Out of the Box - A factory-tuned 2692 MHz boost clock delivers extra performance over reference specifications with no setup required, plus headroom to push further with VelocityX.
  • VelocityX Software - Gain full control over your PNY graphics card to maximize its performance. Fine-tune core and memory clocks, dial in custom fan curves, and monitor real-time temperatures and speeds, all from one intuitive interface. Save up to five profiles for instant recall.
  • NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture - The Ultimate Platform for Gamers and Creators. Do it all with 5th-Gen Tensor Cores for max AI performance, new streaming multiprocessors that are optimized for neural shaders, and 4th-Gen Ray Tracing Cores built for Mega Geometry.

A measured Cyberpunk 2077 example

PC Gamer’s April 2026 Palit comparison tested Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p, Medium ray tracing and Quality upscaling. The 8 GB card averaged 58 FPS with a 37 FPS 1% low; the 16 GB card also averaged 58 FPS but reached a 45 FPS 1% low. Reported average VRAM use was 7.32 GB on the 8 GB card and 10.01 GB on the 16 GB card. These are results from that outlet’s cards and settings, not a universal percentage advantage for every game.

PC Gamer also reports cases in which an 8 GB card falls behind its 16 GB counterpart at high settings. Treat that as a game-and-settings result: compare at the same resolution, preset, ray-tracing mode, upscaler and frame-generation setting rather than assuming every title scales identically.

Gaming buying advice

Choose 16 GB when memory headroom matters

  • You play at 1440p with high textures or ray tracing.
  • You want stronger 1% lows and fewer memory-related compromises in newer releases.
  • You keep a graphics card for several years and the 16 GB premium is reasonable at the local price.

Consider 8 GB only with a clear use case

  • Your games fit within 8 GB at the resolution and texture settings you actually use.
  • The 8 GB board is meaningfully cheaper than the 16 GB model and competing cards.
  • You are comfortable lowering textures or other memory-heavy settings when a title requires it.

Do not infer value from the old $379/$429 launch gap alone. Compare the two exact listings available to you, then compare other GPUs at that same live price.

Creator workloads: what the evidence does and does not show

NVIDIA positions the RTX 5060 family for creators and lists NVIDIA Studio, Tensor Cores, DLSS and ray tracing. The available evidence does not provide an exhaustive application benchmark or establish that the 8 GB or 16 GB model wins in a particular editor, renderer or AI package. For creator work, match the card to the application’s documented VRAM requirement and to the size of the projects you open; 16 GB provides more capacity, but it is not a measured guarantee of a specific application speedup.

Board-partner details require model-level checking

Reviews and listings describe individual boards, not one universal physical design. HotHardware’s review covered MSI and PNY cards. Its MSI Gaming Trio example is a 16 GB GDDR7 board with a stated 2,572 MHz default boost clock; the package included a dual 8-pin PCIe-to-12HPWR adapter and an adjustable support stand. Those accessories and dimensions are SKU-specific.

  • Verify the exact power connector and your power supply’s available cables.
  • Measure case clearance for the specific cooler and account for thickness and support brackets.
  • Check display outputs, warranty terms, return policy and included adapters on the exact listing.
  • Do not generalize noise or temperature from one board to every RTX 5060 Ti; the cited material is not a complete comparative acoustics study.

How to judge a listing before buying

  1. Confirm whether it is the 8 GB or 16 GB Ti, not the base RTX 5060.
  2. Record the complete board-partner model and its cooler, dimensions, connector and stated clock.
  3. Compare the current delivered price in your region with competing GPUs, rather than with 2025 launch MSRP.
  4. Look for benchmarks using your resolution, quality preset, ray tracing, upscaler and frame-generation choices.
  5. Give 1% lows and VRAM use equal attention to average FPS when evaluating demanding games.
  6. Check return, warranty, stock and seller conditions before placing the order.

Bottom line for gamers and creators

The RTX 5060 Ti makes the most sense as a 16 GB purchase when you need 1440p texture and ray-tracing headroom and the local price is competitive. The 8 GB card can be sensible for a lower-cost, settings-conscious build, but the Cyberpunk result shows why average FPS alone can hide a smoother 16 GB experience. Because market prices have changed since launch, the right verdict depends on the exact board and current price—not the $429 launch label.
