There is no source-backed universal winner between them: choose based on whether your account wants Electro or Dendro, which character better fits your roster, and which one you would rather play. These are historical banner recommendations, not advice about a currently available Wish.
Were Clorinde and Alhaitham on the same Version 4.7 banner?
Yes. HoYoverse released Version 4.7 on June 5, 2024, and its Phase I Event Wishes featured Clorinde and Alhaitham at the same time. The official announcement identifies Clorinde as an Electro character and Alhaitham as a Dendro character.
Because the banners ran together, the practical choice for a player deciding between them was which character better suited their account—not which one appeared in a later phase. The banner is over, so this comparison is useful as historical guidance rather than a current pull opportunity.
How should you decide between Clorinde and Alhaitham?
Choose by the element your roster needs
If you specifically want an Electro character, Clorinde is the relevant option; if you want a Dendro character, Alhaitham is. Element is a clear distinction, but it does not by itself establish which character will perform better on your account. Consider the teams you already use and which element would add something you value.
Choose by the character you want to play
If neither element settles the decision, personal preference is a sound tie-breaker. The sources available for this comparison do not establish a universal gameplay winner, so there is no evidence-based reason to pull one over the other regardless of roster or preference.
Does the evidence establish a stronger character?
No comparative testing or verified performance figures establish that one is stronger overall, deals more damage, or offers better value for investment. HoYoWiki provides a character record with talents and mechanics for Alhaitham, but the reviewed Clorinde result concerns her Genius Invokation TCG card rather than a full account of her playable combat kit. That material is not enough to make a like-for-like combat ranking.

Accordingly, treat any claim that one was the clear meta pick as dependent on a specified game patch, team, build, and roster—not as a universal conclusion established here. A reliable meta comparison would need current, comparable team testing under stated assumptions.

For the Version 4.7 choice, pull for Clorinde if Electro is the element you want or she is the character you prefer; pull for Alhaitham if Dendro or his character concept better fits your account. If you were looking for a definitive performance ranking, the available evidence does not support one. Version 4.7 launched on June 5, 2024, and these first-half Event Wishes are no longer current.
