The official announcements confirm the pairing, but do not establish which character is the better pull for a particular account.
Who was on the Version 5.0 Phase 2 banners?
Kinich made his debut alongside a Raiden Shogun rerun in the second half of Version 5.0. HoYoverse announced that “Kinich’s debut will come with the Raiden Shogun in the second half.” HoYoverse’s Version 5.0 announcement and the PlayStation.Blog Version 5.0 update announcement describe the later-phase pairing.
Version 5.0, titled “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn,” was previewed by HoYoverse on August 17, 2024. PlayStation’s official blog announced that the update would go live on August 28, 2024. Those dates establish the update’s context, not the exact start and end dates of the Phase 2 wishes.
Should you have pulled Kinich or Raiden?
The available official notices confirm who shared the phase, but they do not provide a kit-level or account-specific comparison. They are not enough to identify a universal winner or recommend one character based on damage, team synergy, or exploration utility.
For a personal choice, the relevant questions are whether your account needs a new character or a rerun, which character’s play style you prefer, and how either would fit your existing teams. Answering those questions requires character and account details beyond what the banner announcements establish.
Did Kinich and Raiden appear together again?
Yes. HoYoverse’s Version 5.6 Event Wishes Notice – Phase II lists both characters in a later shared phase. That later appearance confirms a repeat pairing; it does not show that either character is available in the current version.
