Genshin Impact Version 5.1 maintenance was scheduled to begin on October 9, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC+8), with an estimated five-hour duration. That maintenance schedule is not the same as a confirmed Phase 1 Wish window: the exact banner dates, featured 4-star characters, full weapon lineup and limited-time event rewards are not established by the accessible official Phase I preview details.
When did Genshin Impact 5.1 Phase 1 start?
HoYoverse scheduled Version 5.1 maintenance for October 9, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC+8), estimating that it would last five hours. This was the official estimate, not a guarantee of the exact time the update became available in every region. HoYoverse had posted its Version 5.1 Events Preview – Phase I on October 7, 2024, but the accessible preview details do not establish the Phase 1 Event Wish start or end times. Keep the maintenance schedule separate from the banner window.
What did Version 5.1 add?
Xilonen and her equipment
Version 5.1 introduced Xilonen, a 5-star Geo sword character. HoYoverse’s update notice says her Elemental Skill, Yohual’s Scratch, uses three Geo Samplers to create Soundscapes influenced by the elemental types of other party members. While active, these Soundscapes can reduce nearby opponents’ resistance to the corresponding elements.
The notice also names Peak Patrol Song (Sword) as an event-exclusive 5-star weapon, and Sturdy Bone (Sword), Mountain-Bracing Bolt (Polearm) and Fruitful Hook (Claymore) as event-exclusive 4-star weapons. It associates these weapons with the version’s Epitome Invocation, but does not establish the full Phase 1 weapon banner lineup or its dates.

The update added two permanent Archon Quest acts: Chapter V, Act III, “Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors,” and Act IV, “The Rainbow Destined to Burn.” The listed unlock requirements start at Adventure Rank 28 and include completion of the preceding Archon Quest acts.
Act III of the Tribal Chronicle “A Prayer for Blessings, Told to Crested Peaks” also became permanently available after the update. It has Adventure Rank, Archon Quest and previous Tribal Chronicle requirements.
Spiral Abyss changes
HoYoverse scheduled the first Spiral Abyss phase update for October 16, 2024. Floor 11’s Ley Line Disorder granted the party a 75% Geo DMG Bonus. The Rugged Moon blessing increased a character’s DEF by 60% for nine seconds after that character used an Elemental Skill.
