For a general support build, equip Xilonen with four-piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, choose Peak Patrol Song for its team damage buff or Favonius Sword when the party needs energy, and build enough Energy Recharge to use her Burst on the team’s rotation. Prioritize her Elemental Skill, then her Burst if its healing is useful. Most importantly, Xilonen’s resistance-reduction support mode requires at least two Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo teammates.
How Xilonen’s support mode affects team building
Xilonen’s support effects depend on party composition. Her support mode requires at least two teammates whose elements are Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. Her Skill activates her Source Samples, and their effects follow the relevant elements in the party. Check the team before choosing her build or rotation; the support effect does not work identically in every composition.
A practical setup is to enter with Xilonen, use her Skill, perform the Normal Attacks needed to activate her support effects, then switch to the main damage dealer. Use her Burst when the team needs its healing or when it fits the rotation.
Best support artifacts
Default: four-piece Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City
Scroll is the usual support choice. Its four-piece effect grants Elemental DMG Bonuses after the equipping character causes a relevant elemental reaction. The two-piece effect restores energy when a nearby teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst. The full set is most useful when its buff matches the team’s damage elements.
#1 Best Overall
Only one same-name Scroll set bonus can benefit the team at a time: duplicate Scroll effects do not stack. If another teammate already carries it, consider whether an alternative set better fits Xilonen’s party and rotation.
Alternatives when Scroll is already covered
- Archaic Petra: Can suit elemental-damage teams, but Xilonen must pick up a Crystallize shard to provide its buff. Account for that action in the rotation.
- Instructor: An option for reaction-focused teams, particularly when the main damage dealer benefits from Elemental Mastery.
Best weapons: Peak Patrol Song or Favonius Sword?
| Weapon | What it gives Xilonen’s team | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Peak Patrol Song | DEF and a team Elemental DMG Bonus. Icy Veins’ 2026 guide lists a maximum 25.6% team bonus at R1; this is the weapon’s stated mechanic, not a measured damage result. | The party values the elemental damage buff and can meet its energy needs without relying on Favonius particles. |
| Favonius Sword | Energy Recharge and particle generation. | Improving the party’s energy supply is more valuable than Peak Patrol Song’s team damage buff. Build CRIT Rate to help activate its passive reliably. |
| Freedom-Sworn | Situational buffs for teams that can use them. | Its buffs fit the party and energy is not the more pressing need; it does not solve Xilonen’s energy requirements. |
There is no single best weapon for every team. Choose between Peak Patrol Song and Favonius Sword based on the party’s energy demand and the value of additional Elemental DMG.

Stats and artifact main stats
Energy Recharge is a rotation requirement, not a fixed universal target. Icy Veins’ 2026 support guide recommends 180–220% ER, while a HoYoLAB community build published October 9, 2024 gives 140–180%. These are guide targets with different assumptions, not competing guarantees. Test whether Xilonen has her Burst ready when the team needs it, then adjust for her weapon, teammates, and rotation.
| Artifact slot | Recommended main stat | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sands | Energy Recharge or DEF% | Use ER if needed for Burst timing; use DEF if her rotation already has comfortable energy. |
| Goblet | DEF% | Supports her healing and personal damage. |
| Circlet | DEF% or CRIT Rate | DEF supports healing and personal damage; CRIT Rate helps Favonius Sword trigger consistently. |
Prioritize ER until Burst availability is comfortable for the actual rotation, then favor DEF. Icy Veins gives 2,500–3,500+ DEF as a support-build guide target, not a threshold that every team must reach. With Favonius Sword, include enough CRIT Rate for reliable passive activation.

Talent priority
- Elemental Skill — Yohual’s Scratch: Level this first; it carries Xilonen’s central resistance-reduction utility.
- Elemental Burst: Invest when its healing matters to the team.
- Normal Attack: Usually the lowest priority for a support build.
How to choose Xilonen’s team and rotation
Rather than treating any team list as a universal ranking, check a proposed party against its elemental and equipment needs. The available build guidance supports these decision points more strongly than a definitive, ranked roster of the best teams.
- Confirm that at least two teammates are Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo so Xilonen can use her support mode.
- Check whether another teammate already carries Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City; its same-name set bonuses do not stack.
- Decide whether the party needs more energy from Favonius Sword or can make better use of Peak Patrol Song’s damage buff.
- Set Xilonen’s ER around the party’s rotation and Burst timing, then use DEF for remaining build priorities. If using Favonius, account for CRIT Rate.
- Use Xilonen’s Skill and the required Normal Attacks before switching to the main damage dealer. Use her Burst when healing is needed or it fits the rotation.
These checks matter more than copying a build or team without considering its elements, energy needs, and existing artifact buffs.
