Immernachtreich Apokalypse is Fischl’s story-domain sequence from the limited-time Version 2.8 Summertime Odyssey event. The solution to nearly every puzzle is the same: activate a Gaze of the Deep, use Nightraven Vision to move and resize the projected structure, and align it with the real geometry in the room. This guide covers Parts I, II, and III, including the bridges, pipes, tower path, toy castle, Leon rescues, chests, Nightwatch Contracts, and the final maze.
For exact visual placements, make small movements while watching the purple alignment circle. The projection is sensitive to camera angle and zoom, so an apparent mismatch usually means the camera or scale needs adjusting rather than that the puzzle has been reset incorrectly.

Before you start: what the Fischl domain is
The Fischl domain is officially associated with Immernachtreich Apokalypse, inside Immernachtreich Keep on Twinning Isle in the Golden Apple Archipelago. It is a story domain divided into Parts I, II, and III, not a permanent repeatable combat domain.

For Part I, the prerequisite content listed by the quest reference and GameWith’s walkthrough includes Surfpiercer, As the Courtyard in Spring Once Appeared, and Blazin’ Trails. The story then leads into Immernachtreich Apokalypse.
How Gaze of the Deep puzzles work
- Interact with a Gaze of the Deep mechanism.
- Nightraven Vision appears and shows a projected building part, bridge, box, pillar, pipe, or other structure.
- Move the projection and adjust its scale until it matches the corresponding geometry in the environment.
- Watch the central purple circle. It becomes more visible as the placement approaches the correct alignment.
- Make small final adjustments. A small central circle and click sound indicate a successful placement.
The projection does not behave like a simple top-down blueprint. Camera angle, distance, and zoom affect how the pieces appear to line up. If the object looks almost correct but will not lock into place, zoom deliberately in or out, reposition the camera, and move the projection slowly. Avoid dragging it rapidly across the screen.
Part I solution
1. Repair the entrance stairs and bridge
The opening route requires you to restore the entrance stairs and then the bridge leading toward the castle.
- Use the first Gaze of the Deep to align the lower or left section of the broken bridge.
- Once the route allows you to continue, go upstairs and stand in the center of the elevator. This activates it and carries you to the next position.
- Use the second Gaze of the Deep to align the upper section of the bridge.
- With both bridge sections in place, cross toward the castle.
If the elevator does not move, step fully into its center rather than standing beside the platform.
2. Optional bridges and the Nightwatch Contract chest
After descending from the main bridge route, you can take an optional side path containing two Common Chests and a Precious Chest.
- Use the first nearby Gaze of the Deep to repair the left bridge section. You may need to zoom in substantially before the projection matches.
- Use the second mechanism to position the remaining bridge piece.
- Ride the elevator and collect the Common Chest reached from one side.
- Cross or use the repaired route to reach the other side and collect the second Common Chest.
- Drop onto the ledge between the bridges.
- Defeat the Hilichurls, then drop again to the lower area.
- Open the Precious Chest to obtain a Nightwatch Contract.
Nightwatch Contracts are used in the separate Nightwatch Contract activity on Twinning Isle. They are optional collectibles rather than items required to solve the main bridge route.

Part I next takes you into a labyrinth or cellar section where Leon is trapped. Activate the nearby Gaze of the Deep to reveal the additional mechanisms and projected pipe pieces.
- Interact with the first mechanism near Leon.
- Use Nightraven Vision to inspect the projected pipe arrangement.
- Move the projected sections until they form the intended continuous pattern and match the physical pipe route.
- Use the second mechanism to complete the remaining part of the Part I pipe arrangement.
- When the path is correctly connected, Leon can escape and the story continues.
This is a visual pattern puzzle rather than a combination with fixed written coordinates. Part I uses two mechanisms; later pipe repairs use three. If the route looks disconnected, check the end points of each segment and adjust the scale before making another large movement. The GameWith solution images are the best reference for the exact on-screen arrangement.
4. Repair the wooden ladder
A broken wooden ladder blocks the next route. Activate the Gaze of the Deep and align the missing ladder structure with the broken section. Cross the repaired ladder and continue. This is a required progression puzzle, not an optional chest route.
Part II solution
1. Reach the upper area and repair the first bridge
Part II reopens the Fischl domain after the intervening event content. Use the elevator to reach the upper section; you do not need to climb the mountain manually.

- Follow the route to the first broken bridge.
- Use the Gaze of the Deep to place the stone pillar over the gap.
- Before leaving this area, look near the final stone square before the wooden platform for the Phantasmal Conch As the Noble’s Resolve.
- Use the nearby ladder to descend and open the Precious Chest containing another Nightwatch Contract.
Collect the conch and chest before moving on if you want the Part II collectibles without backtracking.

2. Reconstruct the tower path
The next section combines physical rotation mechanisms with Gaze of the Deep alignment. The rotation mechanisms change the actual orientation of the tower, while the Gaze mechanisms supply the projected geometry needed to connect the route.
- At the wooden platform, aim the Gaze of the Deep at the top of the tower.
- Continue upward and defeat the Fatui Cryo Mage and the Hilichurls.
- Operate the square rotation mechanism twice.
- Use the lower Gaze of the Deep. Align the tower so it lies on its side and points to the right.
- Continue to the next rotation mechanism and turn it once.
- Use the nearby Gaze of the Deep. Zoom in and move the projection toward the left until it aligns.
- Operate the rotation mechanism again to open the route to the wind current.
- Use the wind current to fly upward and land on the rotating tower.
- Activate the Gaze of the Deep on the tower and repair the bridge on the far side.
- Cross the completed path toward the castle.
The common mistake here is treating the rotation and projection steps as interchangeable. Rotate the physical structure the specified number of times first, then use the Gaze of the Deep to match the projected shape. If the tower is facing the wrong way, repeatedly adjusting the projection will not solve the puzzle.
A Precious Chest containing a Nightwatch Contract is available along the route before the next Leon sequence. Search the route before entering the castle’s story section.

3. Rescue Leon inside the castle
Leon must be rescued again inside the castle. This sequence uses several Gaze of the Deep mechanisms, beginning on the lower floor.
- Start with the mechanism on the lower floor.
- Use Nightraven Vision to inspect the projected objects.
- Align the wooden boxes, floating stone, and brown pillar with their corresponding positions.
- Continue to the next mechanism and repeat the alignment process.
- Once the objects form the correct route, Leon’s escape sequence continues and the story moves on.
Because this arrangement is three-dimensional, match the silhouette and depth of each object rather than relying only on its outline from one camera angle. For exact placements, use the visual sequence in GamesRadar’s Part II walkthrough.
Part III solution
1. Reach the toy castle
- Use the Gaze of the Deep to place the block on the purple square at the bottom of the staircase.
- Cross the repaired bridge.
- Continue through the story scene.
- Your next objective is to find two missing toy-castle pieces: one in the eastern area and one in the western area.
2. Eastern toy-castle piece
The eastern route uses several cube-and-target puzzles, followed by a lower puzzle area and a short combat section.

- At the first eastern mechanism, place the cube on the purple square.
- Climb the ladder and continue clockwise.
- At the next mechanism, place the smaller attached block on its purple target.
- Repeat the process with the third cube.
- Follow the route until it appears to end.
- Glide down to the lower puzzle area rather than trying to force a route through the apparent dead end.
- Use the left Gaze of the Deep first. Place the smaller block in front of the larger block.
- Use the other mechanism to place the smaller cube on the right.
- Follow the wind currents to the southern stone staircase.
- Defeat the Hilichurls and collect the first missing toy-castle piece.
A nearby ladder route leads to a Precious Chest containing a Nightwatch Contract. Take the ladder detour before leaving the eastern section if you are collecting everything.
3. Western toy-castle piece
- Enter the western area and defeat the Hilichurls.
- Use the Gaze of the Deep in front of you.
- Wait until the building has fully risen before climbing the ladder.
- Continue to the next Gaze of the Deep. It cannot initially be used from your current position.
- Glide down to the third mechanism.
- Rotate the tower, then use the elevator to return upward.
- Interact with the earlier mechanism again to complete the ladder.
- Follow the repaired path to the second missing toy-castle piece.
Do not leave immediately after the building rises. The elevator and lower mechanism are part of the intended sequence; the blocked upper Gaze is not a bug.
4. Reassemble the toy castle
Return to the toy castle using the wind currents or the longer ground route if you want to collect nearby items. At the final toy-castle alignment:
- Activate Nightraven Vision.
- Move the projected structure toward the left.
- Zoom in or out as needed until the structure matches the castle.
- Complete the alignment to reassemble the toy castle.
The final placement can look correct before it registers. Keep watching the purple alignment circle and make small horizontal and zoom adjustments instead of moving the structure quickly.
5. Final Leon rescue and the last book
- Use the Gaze of the Deep positioned on Leon’s right.
- Move the projected cubes onto the square on the wall.
- Once the arrangement is accepted, go upstairs.
- Close the final book.
This completes the last major Gaze of the Deep sequence before the final story confrontation.

After the confrontation begins, you are placed in a maze. Follow this route:
- Go straight until the path is blocked, then turn left.
- Repeat the same pattern twice: continue straight until blocked, then turn left.
- At the next split, turn right.
- At each of the following two splits, turn left.
- Continue to the staircase and approach the hostile Fischl double.
Reaching the double triggers the concluding cutscene and completes Immernachtreich Apokalypse.

The Fischl quest domain contains 10 treasure chests in total, according to Game8’s domain guide. Five of the domain’s Precious Chests contain Nightwatch Contracts, which are used in the separate Nightwatch Contract activity on Twinning Isle.
- Part I: The optional bridge route contains two Common Chests and a Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract.
- Part II: The route includes the Phantasmal Conch As the Noble’s Resolve, plus Precious Chests with Nightwatch Contracts.
- Part III: The eastern and western toy-castle routes contain additional collectibles, including a Precious Chest with a Nightwatch Contract near the eastern ladder route.
Quest completion rewards listed by GameWith are 30 Primogems, two Hero’s Wit, and 20,000 Mora. These are rewards from the Version 2.8 event content, not repeatable rewards from a permanent domain.

- Recenter the camera: The correct object may be hidden behind the projection or viewed from a misleading angle.
- Change the zoom: Zoom in substantially for small bridge sections and pipe pieces; zoom out if the structure appears too large to fit.
- Move slowly: Use short adjustments near the target instead of dragging the image rapidly.
- Check the purple circle: The central marker becomes clearer as the alignment improves, and a click sound confirms success.
- Check the physical mechanism: In Part II, rotating a tower and aligning its projection are separate steps. Rotate the structure first when the route requires it.
- Look for a lower route: Part III’s eastern section intentionally appears to end; glide down to the lower puzzle area.
- Wait for animations: In the western toy-castle section, wait until the building has fully risen before climbing or attempting the next step.
- Use visual references: The pipe arrangements and Leon’s box, stone, and pillar puzzles are difficult to describe with stable text coordinates. Compare the projection with the screenshots in the linked walkthroughs.
