When did Genshin Impact 4.8 come out?
HoYoverse scheduled Version 4.8 maintenance to begin July 17, 2024, at 06:00 (UTC+8), with an estimated five-hour duration. What was new in Version 4.8?
Simulanka, the limited-time area
Simulanka was a fairytale-themed area available during Version 4.8. HoYoverse said it would become inaccessible after the version ended. Unlocking it required Adventure Rank 18 and completion of the Archon Quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” HoYoverse’s update notice
Emilie and her Story Quest
Emilie debuted as a 5-star Dendro polearm character. The update notice describes her as a Fontainian perfumer. Her Story Quest, Pomum de Ambra Chapter: Act I, was added with the update and became permanently available on August 6, 2024, at 18:00, subject to the quest’s listed requirements.
