A pre-release Reddit discussion titled “5.2 map location” circulated a claim about a new Natlan area, but it does not authenticate the alleged map image or establish who made it. HoYoverse’s later Version 5.2 announcements confirmed that the update added three Natlan areas: Tezcatepetonco Range, Quahuacan Cliff, and Ochkanatlan.
What was confirmed in Version 5.2
HoYoverse titled the update “Tapestry of Spirit and Flame.” It launched on November 20, 2024 (UTC+8). The update details list three new Natlan areas:
- Tezcatepetonco Range
- Quahuacan Cliff
- Ochkanatlan
The detailed update notice also says a teleport waypoint near Tezcatepetonco Range would unlock for players who met the stated Archon Quest prerequisite. It added Tribe Reputation for the Flower-Feather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind. See the Version 5.2 update details.
What Ochkanatlan and the new tribes added
In a preview published November 10, 2024, the PlayStation Blog described Ochkanatlan as an ancient ruined city northwest of the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind. HoYoverse Studio Technical Director Zhenzhong Yi wrote: “Using the skills of our new and familiar Saurian companions, we can also venture to the ancient, ruined city of Ochkanatlan, that towers into the clouds northwest of the two new tribes, the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind.”
