Genshin Impact Version 5.3, “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection,” launched on January 1, 2025. Its two character-banner phases featured Mavuika and Citlali, then reruns for Arlecchino and Clorinde; Phase II also brought back Chronicled Wish as “Remembrance of Jade and Stone.” The update added a permanent custom rhythm-game mode and continued Natlan’s story toward its final battles against the Abyss.
What Version 5.3 added
HoYoverse titled the update “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection.” The PlayStation Blog preview described Natlan’s storyline as approaching its final battles against the Abyss and identified Lan Yan as a new Anemo catalyst user.
Version 5.3 also introduced Repertoire of Myriad Melodies, a permanent mode for playing, composing, and sharing custom rhythm-game scores using a gadget. The preview mentioned fresh looks for familiar characters, but did not provide a complete feature inventory. HoYoverse published an official Version 5.3 trailer announcement; the available information does not establish individual character-teaser titles, release order, or their story content.

How Chronicled Wish’s guarantee worked
Before wishing on Chronicled Wish, a player chose a 5-star Designated Item from the eligible list. HoYoverse’s Chronicled Wish Rules & FAQ stated that a 5-star result was guaranteed within 90 wishes. When a 5-star appeared, there was a 50% chance it would be the designated item. If it was not, the player received one Fate Point, and the next 5-star was guaranteed to be the designated item.

Wish count and Fate Points reset differently
- Wish count: The Chronicled Wish count carried over to a later Chronicled Wish.
- Fate Points: Fate Points did not carry over. They reset to zero when that Chronicled Wish ended.
These are distinct from character-event wish rules. In Phase I, the two character event wishes shared their guarantee count with each other, while that count was separate from other wish types. For any current event, check the in-game Details panel because wish rules may change.
