GeoGuessr’s Sidemen crossover was a limited-time promotional challenge launched on May 22, 2025—not a new standalone game. Players could face all seven Sidemen in Duels, while a related contest offered World Championship Finals prizes. Its advertised entry deadline was June 20, 2025, so the promotion is historical; whether the challenge can still be played has not been confirmed.
What was the GeoGuessr Sidemen challenge?
GeoGuessr put all seven members of The Sidemen into a “Beat the Sidemen” challenge, letting players face them in Duels. GeoGuessr announced the crossover on May 22, 2025. The official account’s launch wording, quoted in contemporaneous coverage, was: “WE’RE PUTTING @Sidemen IN THE GAME”. It continued: “For 6 years The Sidemen has explored the world and now is your chance to put their skills to the test.Face off against all seven in Duels for some GREAT prizes:”
The seven-match sequence reported at launch was:
- KSI
- Behzinga
- Tobi
- Miniminter
- Vikkstar
- W2S
- Zerkaa
The final matchup against Zerkaa reportedly restricted movement. This describes the 2025 challenge, not a verified current game mode. Insider Gaming’s May 23, 2025 coverage reported that GeoGuessr Pro was required to battle the Sidemen, but that does not establish today’s access requirements.
What prizes did the promotion offer?
According to the contest terms reported by Insider Gaming in May 2025, five winners were to receive two tickets each to the World Championship Finals, travel and accommodation reimbursement of up to $1,000, a chance to meet some Sidemen members, and exclusive merchandise. The report also described a grand-prize opportunity to join the Sidemen on stage for a team Duel.
