What games are included in Gex Trilogy?
The collection brings together the original Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko. Limited Run Games released it on June 16, 2025. The first game is a 2D platformer; the other two are 3D entries that send Gex through television-themed worlds. Steam’s listing and Nintendo’s US listing describe the collection and its contents.
What changes and bonus features does the collection add?

The package also includes a music player with tracks from each game, a key-art museum, classic TV commercials, and an interview with Gex voice actor Dana Gould, according to the Steam and Nintendo listings.

How have critics received Gex Trilogy?
On Metacritic’s PS5 critic page, the displayed snapshot was a 70 Metascore, classified as Mixed or Average, from 7 positive, 12 mixed, and 0 negative reviews. This is a PS5-only snapshot, not a permanent score or a cross-platform consensus. The aggregator’s excerpts reflect the trade-off: GamingTrend praised the variety and balance of preservation with modern features; PlayStation LifeStyle welcomed the quality-of-life options and bonuses while saying the 3D sequels have aged less well; COGconnected noted that Game Boy Color, N64, and international versions are absent. Is Gex Trilogy worth it?
It is a reasonable choice if you want these three games together, value rewind and flexible saving, or enjoy the archival extras and Gex’s humor. If you expect a substantial remake or a collection containing every regional and platform version, the available feature list and review coverage point to a more limited proposition. The upgrades described by the publisher improve access and presentation, but they do not erase the underlying games’ age.

For a platform decision, consider which system you prefer, whether you want a physical or digital copy, and how much the bonus archive matters. Nintendo lists the Switch edition as digital, with TV, tabletop, and handheld modes and English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish text. The available evidence does not establish that one console version performs better than another.
Is Gex Trilogy suitable for children?
ESRB rates the game Teen on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series for Blood, Crude Humor, Fantasy Violence, Mild Language, and Sexual Themes. Its summary mentions tail attacks, some machine-gun use, bloodstains, sexual innuendo and imagery, and bathroom humor. Adults choosing for a younger player should weigh those specific contents rather than assuming that a cartoon gecko makes the collection family-friendly. Are physical editions still available?
GamesRadar+ reported on May 10, 2025, that physical editions were offered, including a Tail Time collector’s edition. That confirms a historical offer, not current stock, pricing, or availability through Amazon or any other retailer. Check the platform and edition on a retailer listing before buying.
