This guide covers the base-game charms documented in October 2025 walkthroughs, with each route tied to its region and activity. Charms tune combat, stealth, survival, and utility, and you can find them through shrine climbs, fox dens, quests, minigames, puzzle boxes, enemy camps, and vendors. It is not a verified inventory of every charm in the current expansion-era game: PlayStation now lists Echoes of Sekigahara, New Game+, Most Wanted, and a Complete Edition that includes a Charm of Hokkyokusei.
How to use this location guide
The table groups documented base-game charms by region and acquisition route. Check the prerequisite column before traveling: some rewards depend on campaign progress, weapon unlocks, or completing an activity. Not every charm is documented as upgradeable.

For a defensive parry build, look at Father’s Charm or Charm of Futsunushi. For stealth, Charm of Lingering Shadows slows enemy detection. If you want more resources, Charm of Kanayago improves scavenged metal and black powder yields. These are options for different needs, not a universal ranking.

AllThingsHow reports a naming discrepancy for one shrine reward, giving both “Patient Frost” and “Patient Forest” for the same location and reward. Check the name shown in your current game rather than assuming one spelling is definitive.

The official Ghost of Yōtei page describes Echoes of Sekigahara, New Game+, Most Wanted, and a Complete Edition that includes a Charm of Hokkyokusei; the available walkthrough inventory does not verify that charm’s route or account for every later addition. The base-game entries above should therefore not be read as every charm currently available.
