Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition launched on October 1, 2026, exclusively for PS5 and with PS5 Pro support. It combines the base game with the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion, the Most Wanted combat-survival mode, Ghost of Yōtei Legends co-op, Digital Deluxe bonuses and additional cosmetics. New buyers pay $69.99, while owners of the standard game can purchase a $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade.
The edition is not a PS4 product, and the official pages reviewed do not describe a PC version. Manual saves are supported, but PlayStation has not published a procedure confirming that standard-edition saves transfer into the Complete Edition.

What is in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition?
The Complete Edition is the PS5 package for the full Ghost of Yōtei experience and its post-launch additions. Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted are delivered through patch v2.0, which released globally on October 1, 2026. In some Asian, Australian and New Zealand territories, that patch content became available on October 2.
| Content | Included in Complete Edition |
|---|---|
| Base game | Full Ghost of Yōtei campaign |
| Story expansion | Echoes of Sekigahara |
| Combat-survival mode | Most Wanted |
| Online mode | Ghost of Yōtei Legends |
| Digital Deluxe items | Armor dye, horse and saddle, sword kit, Traveler’s Maps early unlock and Charm of Amaterasu |
| Additional bonuses | In-game mask and Charm of Hokkyokusei |
| Platform | PS5; supports PS5 Pro |
New trophies accompany Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. The package also adds photo-mode stamps and New Game Plus cosmetics, giving returning players additional completion goals beyond the new missions and mode.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
- Choose your weapon, battle Atsu's opponents as you see fit, with levelled-up dual katanas, odachi, kusarigama and other new weapons.
Echoes of Sekigahara
Echoes of Sekigahara is a narrative expansion that moves between Atsu’s present-day journey and flashbacks to her time on the mainland. Its new setting is Nagato, a valley once occupied by the Vipers. The expansion also depicts the Battle of Sekigahara in Atsu’s past and introduces new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets and dyes.
Most Wanted
Most Wanted is a single-player combat-survival mode. You accept a bounty to start a run, defeat enemies to earn perks and use those upgrades to push farther. Additional playable characters unlock as you progress, so the mode is built around repeated runs rather than a single linear mission chain.
Ghost of Yōtei Legends
Legends is the edition’s online co-op component. It supports up to four players and includes Survival, Story and Incursion modes. A PlayStation account, an internet connection and a separately sold PlayStation Plus subscription are required for online multiplayer.
When did the Complete Edition release?
The Complete Edition launched on October 1, 2026. Echoes of Sekigahara, Most Wanted and the associated quality-of-life changes arrived through version 2.0 on the same date worldwide, with October 2 availability in some Asian, Australian and New Zealand territories.
The original Ghost of Yōtei released on October 2, 2025 for PS5. That one-day difference matters when checking old listings: a standard-edition disc or download from 2025 is not automatically the 2026 Complete Edition package.
Rank #2
- Discover a bold, new story of a warrior in Japan who is on her own mission of vengeance.
- Set 300 years after the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in 1600s rural Japan. The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
- Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance. Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
How much does it cost, and which version should you buy?
| Situation | Product | Price stated by Sony | What you receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| New player | Complete Edition | $69.99 | Base game, all Complete Edition additions and Digital Deluxe bonuses |
| Already own the standard game | Complete Edition Upgrade | $14.99 | Complete Edition additions and bonuses for an existing owner |
| Original 2025 launch option | Standard Edition | $69.99 MSRP | Base game |
| Original 2025 launch option | Digital Deluxe Edition | $79.99 MSRP | Base game plus the then-listed deluxe items |
| Original 2025 launch option | Collector’s Edition | $249.99 MSRP | Collector’s package from the 2025 launch |
If you are buying the game for the first time, the $69.99 Complete Edition is the direct package to choose because it includes the base game and the later content together. If you already own the standard edition, the $14.99 upgrade is the relevant purchase; buying the full edition again would not be the intended route.
Regional prices, taxes and the way an upgrade is presented can vary by PlayStation Store region. The figures above are the prices identified by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the listed editions, not a promise of a current local checkout total.

The Complete Edition includes the Digital Deluxe content associated with Ghost of Yōtei, plus several additional bonuses:
- Digital Deluxe Armor Dye
- Digital Deluxe Horse and Saddle
- Digital Deluxe Sword Kit
- Traveler’s Maps early unlock
- Charm of Amaterasu
- An in-game mask
- Charm of Hokkyokusei
The package also adds photo-mode stamps and New Game Plus cosmetics. These are separate from the new story and survival content: they expand customization and replay options rather than creating another campaign.
Was the Sakai Armor included as a permanent bonus?
Sakai Armor was tied to the pre-order promotion rather than being described as a standard, always-available Complete Edition item. Pre-ordering by September 30, 2026 immediately unlocked the Digital Deluxe content and Charm of Hokkyokusei if they were not already owned, and provided a Sakai Armor early unlock on October 1.

- Bike, ski, snowboard, or wingsuit through a seamless open world in Career mode or multiplayer events.
- Go wild on the heights of iconic US national parks like Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon.
Because the September 30 deadline has passed, a current buyer should not assume that the pre-order treatment is still available. Check the specific product listing for your region before paying; the Complete Edition’s documented contents are the items listed above, while the Sakai Armor offer was time-limited.

Is Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition on PS4 or PC?
No PS4 edition is listed. The official Ghost of Yōtei FAQ states that the game launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 and is not available for PS4. The Complete Edition supports the standard PS5 and PS5 Pro.
The official product information used for this edition does not list a PC release. That means the confirmed platform is PS5, including PS5 Pro compatibility; it does not establish a PC launch date or PC edition.
Can you transfer a standard-edition save?
The Store listing confirms that the game supports manual saves: you can create a manual save point and return to the game at the same place. However, the official pages reviewed do not provide instructions for transferring a save from the 2025 standard edition into the Complete Edition.
Do not treat ownership of the standard game, cloud storage or the existence of manual saves as proof that a transfer works. Until PlayStation publishes a support procedure, the safe conclusion is that save compatibility is unresolved. Keep your original save files and avoid deleting the standard-edition installation while waiting for a confirmed instruction.

Does the Complete Edition include multiplayer?
Yes. Ghost of Yōtei Legends is included and offers online co-op for up to four players. Its listed activities are:
- Survival: cooperative combat against enemy waves.
- Story: mission-based co-op scenarios.
- Incursion: a larger cooperative challenge format.
To play Legends online, every participating player needs a PlayStation account and an internet connection, and multiplayer requires a separately sold PlayStation Plus subscription. The Complete Edition does not remove that subscription requirement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What free content comes to owners of the base game?
The October 1 update is not limited to people who buy the Complete Edition. Owners of the base game receive the free Beauty of Yōtei content, new Watanabe Mode tracks, the ability to separate armor appearance from armor statistics and a high-contrast accessibility option.
That distinction is important when deciding whether to upgrade. The Complete Edition purchase adds Echoes of Sekigahara, Most Wanted, Legends and the listed bonuses, while these specific quality-of-life and accessibility improvements are available to base-game owners without buying the upgrade.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Is the Complete Edition worth it if you already own Ghost of Yōtei?
The upgrade makes the clearest sense for owners who want both new paid additions: Echoes of Sekigahara’s story content and Most Wanted’s repeatable combat runs. It also bundles the Complete Edition cosmetics and Legends co-op in one purchase.
Best Value
- Beyond war, ancient beauty endures: Roam vast countryside and expansive terrain to encounter rich characters, discover ancient landmarks and uncover the hidden beauty of Tsushima.
- The rise of the Ghost: Seek support from old friends and new unlikely allies to reclaim Tsushima.
- Mud, Blood and steel: challenge opponents with your katana for an immersive Samurai combat experience.
- Become legends together: play with friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions in the legends online co-op
- A whole new island to explore: Travel to Iki Island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence in a brand-new story with deeply personal stakes.
You may have less reason to upgrade immediately if your interest is limited to the free improvements. Beauty of Yōtei, Watanabe Mode tracks, armor appearance/stat separation and the high-contrast option arrive for base-game owners without the $14.99 upgrade.
For a new player, the decision is simpler: the $69.99 Complete Edition is the version that includes the original campaign and the later content together. For an existing owner, verify that the $14.99 upgrade appears against your copy and region before checkout, then wait for official save-transfer guidance if continuing an unfinished campaign matters to you.
