If a Ghost of Yōtei outfit, mask, or armor dye is missing, first check that it is included with your edition, then verify its unlock condition, game update, save file, and mode. Sucker Punch has documented fixes for specific missing cosmetics, but there is no confirmed universal recovery sequence for every item.
Identify the missing item and how it should unlock
Start with the exact item name and its source. An edition bonus, preorder item, voucher reward, story or activity reward, New Game+ cosmetic, and trophy reward can each have different requirements. PlayStation lists the Snake armor and Digital Deluxe armor dye as Digital Deluxe content; preorder bonuses are separate, and Collector’s Edition digital items require voucher redemption, an internet connection, and a PlayStation account. If you own Standard Edition and the missing item is exclusive to Digital Deluxe, it may not be part of your entitlement. PlayStation says a Standard-to-Deluxe upgrade is available for a fee; upgrading is not a fix for an item you already own but have not received.
Verify the unlock condition and progression gate
Check the mission, activity, trophy, or story milestone tied to the item. For New Game+, complete the main story first: PlayStation says that is when New Game+ unlocks. Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.100 added a New Game+ vendor, Ghost Flowers currency, new cosmetics, and two armor sets. See the PlayStation game page and Sucker Punch’s Patch 1.100 notes.

For a newly offered cosmetic, check its date and version requirements rather than assuming it is a standard reward. The PlayStation US page describes a limited-time Sakai Armor early-unlock offer ending September 30, 2026, with availability from October 1 through patch v2.0 or later. That regional, time-sensitive offer does not explain older missing rewards.
Update the game and compare your case with documented fixes
Black Ghost mask after “To Catch a Spider”
Sucker Punch’s October 17, 2025 Patch 1.010 notes say: “Fixed a bug that prevented the Black Ghost mask from being granted to players who purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of Ghost of Yotei once they completed ‘To Catch a Spider’.” If this is your item and situation, make sure the game is updated and that the relevant edition entitlement and mission condition are met. The note confirms a specific historical bug and fix; it does not establish that other missing cosmetics share the cause or that replaying the mission is necessary. Read the Patch 1.010 notes.

Platinum armor dye after earning the trophy across saves
Patch 1.101, published December 4, 2025, says Sucker Punch fixed a rare bug that could prevent the platinum armor dye from arriving when the platinum trophy was earned across separate save files. If that matches your circumstances, update the game and check for the reward again. The patch note does not say to delete or overwrite saves. Read the Patch 1.101 notes.
Check the save file and mode where you expect the cosmetic
A cosmetic unlocked in one save or mode may not have been available everywhere in earlier game versions. Sucker Punch’s March 20, 2026 Patch 1.512 notes say certain cosmetics from New Game+ single-player saves are now unlocked in Legends. Note your installed patch and where you earned and expect to use the item when checking a possible mode mismatch. Read the Patch 1.512 notes.

For New Game+ vendor rewards, check that you have completed the main story and are using the relevant vendor and Ghost Flowers system introduced in Patch 1.100.
Recheck the relevant gear or customization screen
Return to the screen where that armor, outfit, or dye is equipped or selected. Confirm that you are viewing the correct armor set and that the expected dye is selected. The official PlayStation builds guide describes outfits and armor as gear that can be combined with charms and saved in builds, but does not provide a universal menu-refresh or cache-clearing fix for missing items.

Contact Sucker Punch if the item is still missing
If you have confirmed the entitlement, completed the stated unlock condition, installed the current update, and checked the relevant save and mode, use Sucker Punch’s contact form. Include the exact item name, edition or voucher entitlement, condition completed and when, game version, mode, save or trophy context, and a screenshot if available. These details can help describe the issue; the contact page does not prescribe a specific recovery procedure.
