In Ghost of Yōtei’s base game, the 12 documented armor sets come from starting gear, story quests, side tales and myths, a bounty, a character encounter, and completing all 16 Hot Springs. The list below covers those base-game routes—not every set currently available: the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion adds armor, but a complete, verified list of its sets and unlock locations is not established by the available guides.
Base-game armor locations and how to get each set
The routes and perk summaries below are reported by Push Square (October 10, 2025) and PowerPyx (October 1, 2025). Perks describe what each set supports; they are not independent performance tests.

Patch 2.0 adds an option to preserve one armor set’s appearance while using another set’s stats, according to PlayStation’s September 3, 2026 announcement. PlayStation lists the free patch as available October 1, 2026 globally and October 2 in some territories. This lets you separate the look you wear from the build you use.
What about armor added after launch?
PlayStation’s September 3, 2026 announcement says Echoes of Sekigahara adds new armor sets and cosmetics in the Ashoro Foothills. It does not name every set or give their acquisition routes. The 12 entries above therefore cover the documented base-game inventory, not a confirmed total for the current game.

- Discover a bold, new story of a warrior in Japan who is on her own mission of vengeance.
- Set 300 years after the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in 1600s rural Japan. The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
- Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance. Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
A guide updated October 1, 2026 lists four Most Wanted crossover armor names—the Last of Us Clicker armor, Helldivers armor, The Traveler armor from Journey, and Astro Boy armor—but marks its expansion section as a work in progress and does not establish the unlock conditions. Treat those names as provisional guide reporting rather than a complete, verified inventory. PlayStation describes Most Wanted as a single-player combat survival mode and says cosmetics earned there can be used in the main game and expansion.
